A video showcasing widespread cheating during an internal examination at a higher secondary school in Tilauthu, Rohtas district, Bihar, has caused a stir. The footage, which purportedly captures the examination environment, reveals students openly copying answers. Instead of being in exam halls, students are seen writing their exams in the school’s open grounds, verandas, and even under trees. The video shows groups of students huddled together, copying from each other, while others are seen sitting on the ground. No invigilators or adherence to examination rules are apparent in the video. The incident has raised serious questions about the integrity of the examination process. The education department has initiated an investigation into the matter, with the district education officer stating that appropriate action will be taken against those found responsible.

A student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in Patna, the capital of Bihar, died by suicide on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Venugopal. He had been staying at his relative’s house in Patna for the past four months, preparing for the exam.

The incident occurred at a house located on Ramnagar Road Number 8B in Patna. Venugopal was a resident of Sohsa village in the Arwal district of the state. Later, when the nephew was sent and the father himself arrived in Patna, they were informed that their son had taken his own life.

Upon opening the door with the help of the police and family members, they found Venugopal’s body hanging from a gamcha (a type of cloth).
