Tamil Nadu’s education landscape is set for a massive event, with over 17 lakh students gearing up for Class 10 and 12 board exams. The School Education Department has swung into high gear, promising a transparent and efficient conduct amid heightened preparations.

School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozi led a crucial review session with top officials, scrutinizing logistics to preempt any malpractices. This proactive stance underscores the state’s commitment to integrity.

Breaking down the numbers: 8,27,475 candidates for Class 12, 9,09,002 for Class 10, and 25,051 for supplementary Class 11 exams—including 5,944 private entrants. These figures highlight the scale of this annual academic milestone.

Mark your calendars—Class 12 exams run from March 2 to 26, followed by Class 10 from March 11 to April 6. Even prison walls can’t stop learning, as 281 inmates wrote Class 12 and 395 Class 10 papers last year.

Daily deployment of 49,000 teachers ensures smooth functioning, backed by 4,900+ flying squads vigilant against cheating. Learning from previous issues, a new scribe policy introduces trained volunteers, freeing teachers for oversight and blocking misuse.

Accountancy students rejoice: non-programmable calculators are now allowed. Private candidates face stricter checks via Aadhaar verification, confining exams to local districts.

The minister nodded to calls for CCTV cameras, signaling a tech-savvy future. These reforms—from better monitoring to inclusive measures—position Tamil Nadu to ace fair and efficient board exams by 2026, empowering the next generation.

Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and leader of the opposition, Babulal Marandi, has strongly criticized the Hemant Soren-led state government for its decision to abruptly cancel the Jharkhand…

Jharkhand Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and leader of the opposition, Babulal Marandi, has strongly criticized the Hemant Soren-led state government for its decision to abruptly cancel the Jharkhand Specific and Technical Eligibility Competitive Examination. Marandi labeled the cancellation as a profound betrayal of the state’s youth, stating that this action echoes the government’s consistent pattern of disappointing young job aspirants.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) had scheduled this crucial examination for technically qualified graduates. However, the announcement of its cancellation came unexpectedly just before the exam, citing technical glitches as the reason. Marandi questioned the government’s competence, sarcastically asking if the technical arrangements failed due to the Chief Minister’s absence in Delhi or if a genuine issue arose. Regardless of the stated cause, the financial and emotional toll on the young candidates who traveled to attend the exam is undeniable. The youth of Jharkhand, Marandi alleges, have been caught in a web of government conspiracies for the past six years. He further accused the government of jeopardizing careers through leaked papers and then expecting innocent candidates to prove their integrity. Marandi urgently called for the immediate rectification of technical issues and the swift, transparent rescheduling of the examination. He also demanded that the government cover the travel expenses incurred by all candidates to reach their examination centers.
