As geopolitical unrest grips the Middle East, IndiGo has stepped up with evacuation flights, offering a lifeline to thousands stranded in the region. The airline’s decision comes after close consultations with Indian officials and foreign governments, marking a crucial restart of services in volatile airspace.

IndiGo’s update reveals four flights heading to Jeddah right now, plus a Muscat-bound service slated for the next day. From Wednesday onward, expect more flights and expanded capacity, all planned with rigorous safety protocols.

Anticipated restarts include Muscat, Jeddah, Medina in the Middle East, and Athens in Europe, aligned with airspace realities and permissions. This will encompass 13 round-trip flights across 26 sectors, prioritizing efficient passenger movement.

Efforts for UAE return flights on March 4 are underway, contingent on on-ground approvals. IndiGo remains vigilant, collaborating for slots and permits while keeping passengers informed through digital channels. Crew and aircraft safety remain paramount in this fluid environment.

Echoing this, Emirates and Etihad have initiated sparse schedules post-Dubai Airports’ partial resumption after conflict-induced shutdowns. Pre-booked flyers get first dibs, with direct notifications issued. Dubai Airports greenlit select departures from DXB and DWC.

UAE’s aviation authority warns against premature airport visits, stressing confirmed details from airlines. This coordinated industry response highlights a unified push to navigate the crisis, restoring connectivity one flight at a time.
