Mahindra Begins Deliveries of BE 6 Batman Edition, Offering 683Km Range on a Single Charge

Mahindra has introduced a special and collectible edition to its electric vehicle lineup this festive season: the BE 6 Batman Edition. Deliveries have officially commenced. Originally scheduled to begin on September 20th, International Batman Day, the date was shifted to September 25th.

This model is a special limited version of the BE 6, with initial sales limited to just 300 units. Due to high demand, the company increased production to 999 units, providing more customers the chance to acquire this collector’s edition. The ex-showroom price is ₹27.79 lakh, approximately ₹89,000 more than the top-spec Pack Three variant.

Mahindra has paid meticulous attention to the design of the BE 6 Batman Edition. The entire body features a custom satin black finish, giving it a premium and robust appearance. Contrasting this, the Alchemy Gold-colored painted suspension and brake calipers provide a sporty look.

Large 20-inch alloy wheels, custom Batman decals on the front doors, and the BE 6 × The Dark Knight badging at the rear distinguish it from the crowd. This edition is not just a car but a source of pride for collectors.

The interior of the car is as unique as its exterior. It features a charcoal leather instrument panel, Suede leather upholstery with gold sepia stitching, and gold accents. Gold detailing is also present on the steering wheel, in-touch controller, and electronic parking brake system.

The Bat-Sign is embossed on the seats, boost button, and interior details. The dashboard features a pinstripe graphic, while the infotainment screen displays a Batman welcome animation upon startup. Additionally, the exterior sound profile is Batman-themed, making it incredibly unique.

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack. The company claims the car offers a range of up to 683 km on a full charge. Under real-world conditions, with the AC on, the car can easily cover a distance of over 500 km. This edition stands out not only due to its design and theme but also in terms of performance.

Chinese automaker BYD (Build Your Dreams) has broken the world record in the electric car category with its Yangwang U9 Track Edition hypercar. The vehicle achieved a top speed of 472.41 km/h, surpassing the previous record of 431.45 km/h held by the Rimac Nevera R, which was set in July 2025. The record-breaking run took place at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) track in Germany, the same location where Rimac set its previous record. The Yangwang U9 Track Edition, a track-focused variant, demonstrates significant advancements over the standard Yangwang U9, which previously achieved a top speed of 391.94 km/h in November 2024. Tata Motors, the leading electric car seller in India, has updated its affordable electric car, the Tata Punch EV, with fast charging capabilities. The company has also announced new color options for the car, introducing Pure Grey and Supernova Copper. Notably, the Tata Punch EV can gain a range of 90 kilometers with just a 15-minute charge, an amount of time comparable to that spent enjoying a cup of tea at a charging station.

Following the update, the Tata Punch EV now supports fast charging. This electric car can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in only 40 minutes. Tata states that the Punch EV can be charged for a 90-kilometer range in 15 minutes using a 50-kilowatt DC fast charger. However, fast charging is exclusively available on the long-range variant of the model.

**Battery and Range**

The Tata Punch EV comes in two battery pack options. The mid-range version features a 25 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 265 km on a single charge. The long-range version has a 35 kWh battery, with a range of up to 365 km on a single charge. The mid-range model has a single electric motor that delivers 80 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque. The long-range model boasts a more powerful motor, producing 120 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. This electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 140 km/h.

The Punch EV is equipped with various features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also features a digital console, an air purifier, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, and an electric sunroof. In terms of safety, it includes 6 airbags, ESP, an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, and other safety features.
