Adhikari painted a harrowing post-poll scenario since 2021: over 56 BJP cadres killed, 27 women gang-raped, with CBI investigations hampered by police evidence destruction. A fresh brutality near the capital—a councillor’s fatal kick—exemplifies the anarchy, he said.

Dilip Ghosh, another key BJP figure, mocked Mamata’s Supreme Court move against SIR. Speaking exclusively, he remarked, ‘Confident of victory? Go fight it out. This drama is pointless.’ He lambasted the government’s courtroom losing streak, attributing it to frivolous petitions without merit, leaving courts flooded with cases against the administration.

The attacks extended to systemic bias: targeting Hindus, forcing migrations from Murshidabad to Malda; village-level assaults on women; harassment of opposition workers; police aiding TMC by dismantling BJP banners. ‘TMC and police are in cahoots, stifling democracy,’ Ghosh alleged.

With stakes high for electoral integrity, BJP positions itself as the guardian against manipulation, urging judicial intervention to ensure fair polls. The SIR standoff underscores deepening divides in Bengal’s polarized politics.

Speaking candidly, Singh highlighted the election-time betrayals. Numerous leaders contested as independents or sabotaged RJD efforts, prompting an internal audit. ‘Our long review process culminated in this report to the national president and opposition leader. The top brass will decide, and we’ll inform everyone soon,’ he explained.

Singh strongly backed Tejashwi Yadav’s pointed critique of Bihar elections: ‘Loksabha hara hai, tantra jeeta hai.’ He alleged massive voter deletions and dubious cash transfers during voting, rendering polls unfair. ‘The machinery must be held accountable to ensure clean elections henceforth,’ he urged.

On the Congress front, Singh reflected on Siddiqui’s exit, attributing it to adaptation challenges for newcomers. ‘Party leadership knows best about internal dynamics,’ he remarked.

This development underscores RJD’s resolve to discipline ranks, potentially impacting Bihar’s volatile politics. With elections exposing deep fissures, the party’s forthcoming actions could set a precedent for loyalty in opposition circles.

‘Mamata Banerjee is hell-bent on corrupting the system and blocking SIR through relentless pressure on officials,’ Pandey told reporters on January 23. He highlighted how TMC cadres intimidate BLOs, severely impacting their mental well-being and administrative efficiency.

The minister didn’t hold back on Banerjee’s alleged strategy of importing voters. ‘She ferries people from Bangladesh, endows them with local rights, and uses them to rig elections. But the winds of change are blowing—BJP’s government is on the horizon in West Bengal,’ Pandey declared.

Pandey also contrasted Modi’s humble origins with Congress elite. ‘Kharge represents a silver-spoon dynasty that dances to party tunes, while PM Modi, born poor, champions the downtrodden with genuine empathy,’ he remarked.

Shifting to Bihar’s health initiatives, Pandey detailed the multifaceted filariasis elimination drive targeting 2027. ‘Conditions like elephantiasis and hydrocele fall under filariasis, and we’re aggregating data while boosting awareness and drug intake across communities,’ he outlined.

Reaffirming public support, Pandey noted Bihar’s residents’ trust in Nitish Kumar and central schemes. ‘We’ve instructed officials to prioritize citizen convenience, ensuring seamless implementation,’ he concluded, painting a picture of proactive governance.
