In a dazzling display of color and creativity, Greater Noyed’s Samrat Mihir Bhoj Park transformed into a floral paradise on Thursday. The flower show, themed around ‘Operation Sindoor’, was inaugurated by Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma amid cheers from a large gathering.

Dr. Sharma, addressing the crowd, reflected on flowers as the ultimate blessing from Mother Nature. He drew parallels between humanity’s deep connection to the environment and the pivotal place of blooms in Indian rituals, from joyous festivals to solemn ceremonies, enriching every moment with their essence.

Spanning until March 1, the exhibition by Greater Noida Authority features no-cost access and parking, making it a must-visit for locals. It’s more than flowers—it’s a cultural revival that pulses with life.

Prominent attendees included BJP leaders and Authority officials like ACEOs Saumya Shrivastava and Sumit Yadav. The MP commended CEO NG Ravi Kumar’s leadership in turning around the Authority’s finances, paving the way for progressive infrastructure growth.

The program opened with traditional deep prajwalan and Saraswati vandana by students, evoking devotion. Thrill peaked with a pioneering drone spectacle projecting patriotic symbols and the CM’s portrait, leaving spectators in awe.

The ‘Operation Sindoor’ centerpiece, crafted meticulously from flowers, stole the show, complemented by whimsical designs such as a floral tiger, chilli heart, and majestic peacock. Photography enthusiasts captured these wonders, creating social media moments.

Beyond visuals, shopping stalls brimmed with saplings, ornaments, and street food, turning the venue into a festive marketplace. This event underscores Greater Noyed’s evolution into a dynamic city where green initiatives meet cultural exuberance, promising lasting memories for all.

Gujarat’s Somnath Temple is set to make history once again, this time through a mesmerizing drone extravaganza chronicling its millennium-long journey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be at the forefront, inviting every Indian to partake in this celestial tribute live from the temple precincts.

From its origins in the Soma dynasty to enduring multiple destructions by invaders, Somnath’s story is one of rebirth. The drone show, utilizing over 500 high-tech drones, will recreate these pivotal moments in a 30-minute symphony of light and sound. Historical reenactments will include the 11th-century raids and the poignant 1951 reconstruction led by India’s first Deputy PM.

Organizers have planned multi-angle coverage for a pan-India audience, accessible through DD National, YouTube, and social media. PM Modi’s involvement adds a layer of national significance, reflecting his frequent visits to the site and emphasis on cultural renaissance.

The production boasts cutting-edge visuals: glowing avatars of deities, swirling oceans symbolizing the Arabian Sea’s embrace, and a finale fireworks display. Amid rising temple tourism—over 5 million visitors annually—this event aims to boost spiritual tourism further.

Cultural historians laud the initiative for making ancient narratives accessible to Gen Z. As drones form the sacred ‘Om’ symbol in the sky, it will reinforce Somnath’s role as India’s first Jyotirlinga. This drone odyssey isn’t mere entertainment; it’s a bridge connecting past valor with future aspirations, perfectly timed for the temple’s grand anniversary.
