However, the investigation revealed his last location was not in West Bengal but in his in-laws’ village. Upon further interrogation, the accused son-in-law confessed to the double murder.

Subal Saha confessed that he had come from Birbhum district, West Bengal, on the night of August 19th. Upon arriving, he asked his father-in-law for money to replace his truck’s tire. When his father-in-law refused, a dispute over money ensued. The couple had given their elder son-in-law a significant sum of money to build a house, but they denied Subal Saha’s request for financial assistance. Enraged, he attacked his father-in-law with a brick, killing him. When his mother-in-law intervened, he brutally murdered her as well. The accused stole a gold chain, rings, and other jewelry from the deceased mother-in-law and threw his father-in-law’s mobile phone into a pond to conceal evidence. He then returned to his home in West Bengal to avoid suspicion. The accused even attended the last rites of his in-laws, expressing deep condolences to the family.

The police have arrested the accused son-in-law. They have also recovered the mobile phone from the pond, the stolen gold ornaments from the mother-in-law, blood-stained clothes, and other items.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the attackers first killed the elderly man while he was asleep, then chased and murdered the woman. The woman’s body was found on the ground, soaked in blood, while the elderly man’s body was found on a cot.

As soon as the police were informed about the incident, a team including the SP, ASP, CSP, station in-charge, ACCU, FSL, dog squad, and fingerprint experts arrived at the scene. The entire house and surrounding area were sealed, and an investigation was launched. The police are questioning the villagers and, initially, are considering personal enmity or old grudges as the reason for the incident. For now, the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and are conducting an in-depth investigation into the causes of the murder after the panchnama proceedings.

Both youths died on the spot in the shooting. After receiving information about the incident, a team from the local police reached the spot. Following this, information about the incident was given to the Patna FSL team. However, the identities of both the deceased youths have not yet been established.

According to the information received, on Tuesday morning, people from the village were out for a walk on the Manjhauli Singara road. They saw a black and red Apache bike on the side of the road and the bodies of two youths lying a short distance away. The bodies were covered in blood. As soon as the people saw the bodies, the news spread like wildfire throughout the village.

After this, the villagers first informed Dial 112. After the information, the police from Bikram police station reached the spot and started investigating the matter. However, the identification of both the deceased youths has not yet been possible. During the investigation, the police have also recovered several empty bullet casings from the crime scene. It is suspected that both youths were murdered by firing late at night.

Regarding the incident, Bikram Station House Officer Vinod Kumar said that the villagers of Bikram informed that there were two dead bodies of youths on the side of the road in Manjhauli Singara road. The youths were murdered by shooting. A bike was also found at the spot. The police have recovered 9 to 10 bullet casings from the crime scene.
