In a strategic push to strengthen West Delhi’s public health network, Indira Gandhi Hospital (IGH) Dwarka has unveiled comprehensive service expansions. Spearheaded by the Delhi government led by CM Rekha Gupta, these improvements aim to provide equitable, efficient healthcare to all citizens.

A standout feature is the dialysis unit’s growth from 35 to 50 beds, set to minimize patient waitlists and streamline renal treatments. Emergency diagnostics got a lift with the installation of a high-powered 500 MA X-ray in radiology, offering swift, accurate scans for trauma victims.

Operation theater hours now stretch to 14 hours daily, from morning to evening, facilitating more surgeries and better recovery rates. The hospital’s new corneal retrieval center, partnered with AIIMS, will drive corneal donations, opening doors for life-changing transplants.

Since May 2025, the Brain Health Clinic has become a hub for integrated neuro-psychiatric care, handling dozens of cases daily—from migraines and epilepsy to strokes and psychological issues—under one roof for holistic treatment.

Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh stated, ‘Our mission goes beyond facilities; it’s about reducing burdens and guaranteeing prompt, effective treatment for Delhiites.’ This expansion signals the government’s resolve to modernize hospitals, meeting rising demands with superior efficiency.
