  • WhatsApp will soon get the most awaited multi-device support

Multi-device support has been in the works for quite some time in WhatsApp. This year, several reports revealed that the company is making many improvements to bring this upcoming feature. Now once again the new report has revealed new information about the WhatsApp multi-device feature.

WhatsApp is currently testing how the call will be configured when this feature is turned on. Tipster says that since last week, WhatsApp has been testing how the calling feature for the same account will work on different devices. This indicates that WhatsApp is serious about this upcoming feature and may soon roll out this feature.

Let us know that even before this, information has been revealed many times regarding the multi-device support feature. In a report, it was revealed that users will be able to run the same WhatsApp account on four different devices simultaneously. And the special thing is that while using WhatsApp web, users will not need an active internet connection on the primary device.

In previous reports it was also said that multi-device support will be available in the app under the Linked Devices section. Users will be able to add a new device by tapping on ‘Link a New Device option’. Apart from this, users will have a list of all connected devices as well as a toggle button to enable and disable the feature.

  • New Coronavirus Variant Not ‘out Of Control’ But Can’t Be Left ‘to Its Own Devices’

In a briefing on December 21, the WHO stated that the new variant of the novel coronavirus detected across the UK that has spread to South Africa is not seemingly ‘out of control’. WHO’s emergency chief Michael Ryan said at a live-streamed conference that several mutated strains of the coronavirus with a transmission rate higher than typical SARS-CoV-2 were detected at different stages of the pandemic that were brought under control. Subsequently, the WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stressed that the viruses mutate over time, and that’s “natural and expected.”

However, Tedros warned that the countries needed to suppress transmission of all SARS-CoV-2 viruses “as quickly as they can”. WHO’s emergencies chief added, even if there was no evidence that the new variant caused severe disease or mortality and it wasn’t in the sense out of control, it cannot be “left to its own devices.”  The WHO said that it was in constant touch with the global experts and scientists to understand how the genetic changes of coronavirus affect the virus strain’s behaviour. Although, the organization warned that the more new variant was allowed to spread, the more opportunity it had to ‘mutate’ into something deadlier. “I can’t stress enough, to all governments and all people, how important it is to take the necessary precautions to limit this transmission,” the WHO chief said.
