Delhi’s law enforcement struck a decisive blow against fuel adulteration Wednesday, exposing a sophisticated LPG hoarding syndicate in Khyala. Four men were nabbed, and 46 domestic gas cylinders—20 from Indane and 26 from Bharat Gas—were recovered from three covert locations.

The haul included refilling gear and scales, hallmarks of an operation churning out illegal duplicates for black market sales. This comes amid renewed vigilance on energy commodities, echoing past crises like the Gulf War that triggered widespread shortages.

Intelligence-driven raids targeted nondescript rented spaces and temporary structures packed with hidden cylinders. The West District Special Staff executed the sweeps simultaneously, preventing any tip-offs.

Under ACP Vijay Singh’s oversight and Inspector Rajesh Maurya’s command, officers ASI Rishi, Kaptaan, Umesh, Manoj Tyagi, HC Shamsher, Vijay, and Constable Dinesh led the charge. Suspects Shivmurat Singh, Raghuraj, Arvind Singh, and Ompal now grapple with Essential Commodities Act violations and BNS charges filed in three separate cases at Khyala police station.

Interrogations uncovered how the group used aliases to procure cylinders from West Vihar’s Sunny Gas and Rajouri Garden’s Ashu Gas agencies. Their method: siphoning small amounts from legitimate fills to top up empties, then flipping them at 3,000 rupees apiece versus the standard 900 rupees.

Beyond massive profits, this scam eroded public trust in subsidized supplies and invited hazardous refilling practices. Investigations continue into agency roles, broader networks, and the full extent of the supply chain to prevent future exploits.

Delhi’s law enforcers struck a blow against illicit gas trade on March 16, when the Crime Branch’s specialized cell exposed a covert operation hoarding hundreds of LPG cylinders in Mundka.…

Delhi’s law enforcers struck a blow against illicit gas trade on March 16, when the Crime Branch’s specialized cell exposed a covert operation hoarding hundreds of LPG cylinders in Mundka. The raid at a nondescript warehouse yielded 610 cylinders across Indene, Bharat Gas, and HP brands, many filled and ready for illegal sale.

Hidden in Khasra numbers 111/22 and 111, Plot 9, the site operated under ‘Guruji Indene Gas Service,’ licensed solely for one brand yet brazenly stockpiling competitors’ products. Detailed recovery: 133 filled and 290 empty Indene, 17 filled and 75 empty Bharat Gas, plus 47 filled, 27 empty, and 21 mini empty HP cylinders, totaling 610 units plus 26 Indene lots.

A tip sparked the swift action by Inspector Amit Solanki’s team, including SIs Rajbir and Parveen, ASIs Ravinder, Rajiv, and Umesh, and constables Amit, Mohit, Nitin, Ravinder, and Deepak Kumar. Oversight came from senior officers ACP Pankaj Arora and DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.

Cross-checks with Indian Oil showed zero authorized stock post-March 10, 2025, signaling deliberate stockpiling for profiteering amid potential shortages. Such practices not only jack up prices but create explosion risks in densely packed, unregulated storage.

With Food Supply’s Vikas Kumar on site affirming violations, police filed charges under key laws. The proprietor fled before the raid; manhunt underway as probes delve into accomplices and distribution networks.

This incident underscores the perils of black market gas trade. Citizens are advised to stick to verified sources and alert police to anomalies, safeguarding community safety and fair pricing.

In a testament to seamless police teamwork, a long-elusive wanted man from Bihar, Babul Kumar, was finally nabbed in Delhi through a high-tech operation involving Delhi Crime Branch and Bihar’s finest. The arrest on March 13 marks a victory against organized crime spanning state lines.

Babul, implicated in grave offenses registered at Mahindwara thana, had dodged authorities by relocating to the national capital. Bihar Police’s special team arrived in Delhi and partnered with local experts after getting a lead on his whereabouts on March 12.

The mission was orchestrated by DGP Harsh Indoura, with ACP Bhagwati Prasad overseeing and Inspector Pawan Kumar heading the ground team. Key contributions came from Head Constables Amit, Jitendra, and Manish, who utilized advanced surveillance tools.

Despite a fruitless day of combing the area on March 12, Jitendra activated confidential sources, sharing detailed intel on the suspect. By dawn on March 13, precise coordinates emerged, leading to a swift raid and arrest.

Hailing from Bihar’s Punarawada village, the 12th-pass Babul turned to crime post-2022, influenced by local gangs. He had been fugutive for months, frequently shifting locations. Bihar Police now probes potential accomplices.

Such joint efforts highlight the effectiveness of shared intelligence and technology in curbing fugitive movements, sending a strong message to interstate criminals.

Delhi’s law enforcement struck gold in their fight against gangsters as the Crime Branch apprehended a fugitive shooter associated with Lawrence Bishnoi’s dreaded network. The daring raid unfolded in a high-risk area, showcasing the force’s tactical prowess.

For weeks, undercover operatives had been monitoring the movements of this elusive figure, known for his role in executing hits for the gang. His capture disrupts a vital cog in Bishnoi’s machinery, which has terrorized cities from Punjab to Rajasthan.

The bust happened when the shooter, attempting to evade surveillance, ran into an ambush set by Crime Branch sleuths. A fierce exchange of words turned into submission as backup arrived. Seized items included illegal firearms and communication gadgets hinting at larger conspiracies.

Lawrence Bishnoi, currently behind bars, continues to orchestrate activities through proxies. This arrest is part of a broader crackdown that has seen several associates nabbed in recent months. Eyewitnesses described the scene as tense, with locals applauding the police action.

Delhi’s law enforcement struck a decisive blow against fake fashion empires with the demolition of an underground garment unit churning out bogus branded clothes. The pre-dawn raid in a nondescript warehouse exposed a sophisticated setup mimicking luxury labels.

Over 5,000 pieces of imitation apparel—falsely bearing logos of Nike, Zara, and Tommy Hilfiger—were confiscated, valued at more than ₹2 crore in the black market. Police seized industrial-grade machinery capable of producing 500 units daily, along with dyes, fabrics, and label printers.

The operation, hidden in plain sight amid legitimate factories, was busted after months of surveillance. Four workers, including operator Vikram Singh, were nabbed while packaging orders. Sources indicate the counterfeit clothes flooded Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar and Janpath markets, deceiving shoppers with deceptive quality.

This raid underscores the growing menace of IPR violations in India’s garment sector, where fakes erode brand trust and revenue. Senior officers hailed it as a ‘landmark intervention,’ vowing intensified patrols in high-risk zones.

Interrogation of the detained could unravel supplier chains extending to Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Consumers are urged to verify authenticity via holograms and official outlets. With Diwali approaching, police have ramped up vigilance to ensure markets remain free of illicit goods.
