  • India, Pakistan trade fire on LoC

    The Indian and Pakistani armies traded fire on the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, a defence spokesman said.

    “The Pakistan Army violated ceasefire at around 9 a.m., by resorting to unprovoked firing on the LoC in Sunderbani area,” Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said here.

    “Indian positions retaliated effectively and there were no reports of casualty or damage from our side.”

  • Army jawan injured as Pak violates ceasefire along LoC in Poonch

    An Army jawan was injured when Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, a defence spokesperson said Thursday.

    The Pakistani troops violated ceasefire in Krishnagati sector at 9.30 pm Wednesday night, he said.

    The injured soldier was evacuated to a military hospital and is out of danger, the spokesperson said.
