  • Leader of Opposition Kaushik wrote to Home Minister demanding judicial inquiry into the death of constable Pushparaj Singh

    On the death of constable Pushparaj Singh, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik has written a letter to Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu demanding a judicial inquiry into the matter. Leader of Opposition Kaushik has also pointed to the demand of family members in this regard on the death of the policeman posted in Janjgir.

    Dharamlal Kaushik said in a letter to Tamradhwaj Sahu that constable Pushparaj Singh died in suspicious circumstances. Apart from being very active in the constable police family movement, during the Kovid-19 period, he had shown good service with his noble thinking by donating his 12 months salary to the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund.

    Many officers of his own department were also posted on social media for exposing their involvement in unethical and illegal work and made others aware of it. He also posted on social media about the possibility of misbehavior towards him. Therefore, it would be appropriate to have a judicial inquiry in this case.

A woman from Kerala died in a Palestinian rocket attack. It is being told that Soumya Santhosh, a resident of Idukki district in Kerala, worked as a caretaker in Israel. 31-year-old Soumya was talking on the phone to her husband that suddenly a rocket fell on his apartment in which he died. His family has given information about this.

    Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan tweeted that he spoke to the family of Indian daughter Soumya Santhosh who was the victim of the attack in Israel. He also announced all possible help to them.

  • UP Govt Offers Rs 30 Lakh Ex-gratia To Kin Of 135 Polling Staff Who Died Due To COVID


    In a major relief for polls workers’ families who succumbed to COVID, the Uttar Pradesh govt announced a compensation of Rs 30 lakhs on Thursday. The Allahabad HC which has taken cognizance of 135 polling officers’ death was informed of the decision by the UP govt. The HC had issued a notice to the Yogi govt after 135 Teachers, Shiksha Mitras and Investigators had succumbed to COVID while on poll duty for the recently concluded Panchayat polls.

    The biggest tragedy in UP amid COVID has been the death of 700 school staff who died due to COVID while on poll duty for UP Panchayat polls. As per reports,  the Uttar Pradeshiya Prathmik Shikshak Sangh has written to UP CM Adityanath and SEC, listing names of all the deceased who died due to contracting COVID-19 on poll duty, demanding to defer counting on May 2. The Allahabad High Court had pulled up the Yogi govt over the deaths asking why action should not be taken against it for not enforcing Covid protocols. In reply, the state government has denied the allegations and said it has no proof that the teachers died during poll duty and maintained that it did not want to hold the panchayat elections, but was forced to conduct it before 30 April due to an HC order.

  • Corona infection slows, 24,010 new cases in 24 hours, 355 deaths

    Daily cases of corona virus are steadily decreasing in the country. According to data released on Thursday by the Ministry of Health, there have been 24,010 new cases in the country in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of cases has gone up to 99,56,558. During this period, 355 patients have died and the total death toll has gone up to 1,44,451. The number of active cases now stands at 3,22,366. 33,291 new recoveries have been recorded in one day, after which the total number of recovery cases has increased to 94,89,740.
