    Filmmaker Michael Cuesta, who is known for helming hit TV shows Homeland and Dexter, is set to direct the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. Michael will be directing the maiden episode of the show which will release in spring 2024. It is to be noted that earlier Jill Blankenship and Grainne Godree have joined the team as writers.

    The series will consist of 18 episodes and will go on floors from March in New York. However as per reports, Michael will only direct the pilot episode, while other directors will also be roped in to direct the other parts.

    Daredevil: Born Again will follow Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) who is trying to lead a double life of a daytime lawyer and nighttime vigilante hero. Apart from Charlie, the series also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Nikki M. James, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva and Sandrine Holtrite.

    Daredevil: Born Again, the Disney+ Marvel series based on the visually challenged superhero Darevil has begun filming in New York. With Charlie Cox playing the titular role, the series is said to be different from the Netflix Daredevil series that the actor was earlier part of.

    It was earlier announced that Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as the Punisher for the upcoming series but much like Charlie Cox’s version, his character too will not be the same as the earlier version he played.

    It has also been confirmed that Deborah Ann Woll and Eldon Henson, who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson respectively, in the Netflix series, will not be reprising their roles for Daredevil: Born Again.

    Matt Corman and Chris Ord serve as head writers and showrunners for the series.  Although a release date is yet to be confirmed, Daredevil: Born Again is currently scheduled to release during the first half of 2024.

  • New Daredevil series to go on floors from February

    The upcoming Disney+Hotstar series Daredevil: Born Again is reportedly all set to start filming in February 2023. According to reports, the series will film all the way to the end of 2023. Titled Daredevil: Born Again, the series brings back Charlie Cox as the visually challenged vigilante, he had earlier played a similar role in Netflix’s Daredevil which was cancelled after three seasons.

    The official confirmation of Cox’s return as Daredevil and his induction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe was made by Marvel boss Kevin Feige prior to the release of SpiderMan: No Way Home. Charlie Cox appeared as Matt Murdock in a cameo appearance alongside Tom Holland in the film. It was later announced that Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays the mob boss Kingpin from the original Netflix series will also reprise his role.

    Matt Corman and Chris Ord were brought in as head writers and showrunners. It is unclear whether fan favourites Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson will also return. Daredevil: Born Again is currently scheduled to release during the first half of 2024.

    Actors Margarita Levieva and Sandrine Holt have become the new additions to the cast of Daredevil: Born Again. Levieva is a Russian-American actor who is best known for films like Adventureland, The Lincoln Lawyer, Sleeping with Other People, and The Diary of a Teenage Girl while Holt is known for Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Underworld: Awakening, and Terminator Genisys.

    It is currently unknown what roles the actors will be playing in the series but speculations state that they might be playing the love interests of the lead character.
