They are informed that the process of acceptance and distribution of online post matriculation scholarship for the education session 2020-21 is being done online on http: /mpsc.mp.nic.in/CGPMS website. Under this, online application draft proposal from January 1 to January 20 and section order proposal from January 1 to January 20 and governmental institution from January 28 to the proposal for approval and payment for the registration of students and institutions to lock the proposal and acceptance (notesheet ) (Government and non-government) can be locked till 29 January. As soon as this information came to the notice of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, he took a sensitive initiative and instructed the District Administration Dantewada to get the students admitted in private medical colleges at government expense. In compliance with the instructions of the Chief Minister, the district administration, taking action, ensured that three students, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Rajak, Mr. Jayant Kumar and Kumari Aishwarya Nag, got admission in private colleges. MBBS course fees have been deposited in the private medical colleges of these three students out of Rs 3 crore 32 lakh 25 thousand, a total amount of Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 74 thousand.

  • Identification of sickle cell will be possible in the village itself, pilot project started in these 5 districts

    In Chhattisgarh, sickle cell will now be identified by grassroots health workers from village to village. The villagers will no longer have to go to a distant hospital and get tested. Health Minister TS Singhdev launched the pilot project being implemented in the state in this regard. Health workers will be trained by experts of the Institute of Immuno-Hematology at ICMR’s Mumbai-based institute for this project being launched in five districts of Durg, Sarguja, Dantewada, Korba and Mahasamund districts. The point of test technique used for this test is certified by international and national scientific institutions.

    By using this new technique, sickle cell disease can be confirmed at the village level and also in primary health centers. This will reduce mortality from sicklecell disease. Timely examination of pregnant women will also help in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality. Presently the latest medicines for sickle cell are available so that the patient can lead a normal life.

    It may be noted that in the last two rains by the Health Department, a large-scale screening has been done to identify suspicious cases of sicklesail. 1.03 lakh people have been screened and are being treated at the screening.

  • Freight train brake fails, crosses loop line, enters farm, 24 coaches and 3 engines badly damaged

    On Monday evening, the goods train entered the farm crossing the loopline due to failure of the goods train brake at Jagadalpur’s Dillamili station. The loco pilot suffered minor injuries in the accident. According to the information received, the goods train was loaded with iron ore, which had left from Kirandul in Dantewada for Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, the train brake failed and 24 coaches and 3 engines of the goods train derailed at Dillamili station and were badly damaged.
