Allegations have surfaced against the Jharkhand government, with BJP state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi accusing the administration of creating new offenses to conceal existing criminal enterprises. Marandi stated that the government and its systems have developed a habit of inventing fresh crimes to mask the real issues plaguing Jharkhand. Recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions in the coal sector of Dhanbad have uncovered significant evidence of illicit activities. Disturbingly, reports suggest that high-ranking police officials, allegedly benefiting from the black money generated by coal mafias, have provided targets to eliminate key ground-level operatives of these mafias. The objective appears to be silencing witnesses and preventing the truth from emerging. This alleged plot involves planning the murder of individuals currently being questioned by the ED, thereby stifling any revelations. Marandi drew parallels to past incidents in the state where ‘encounter killings’ were allegedly staged to destroy evidence. He recalled a former Director General of Police (DGP) in Jharkhand who faced accusations of orchestrating contract killings and of being the most corrupt official of his kind in the state, with even ruling party members voicing these concerns. The situation demands extreme caution from the ED, as Marandi warned that in Jharkhand, those who suppress the truth, rather than those who speak it, hold power. When political power, administrative systems, and criminal elements align, the pursuit of justice becomes a mere formality.

Jharkhand’s opposition leader Babu Lal Marandi has leveled serious accusations against the state government, alleging that it is creating new crimes to conceal existing ones and protect powerful figures. This disturbing trend, according to Marandi, has become a habit for the government and its associated systems. Recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions in the coal mafia’s stronghold in Dhanbad have unearthed alarming evidence. Most concerning is the revelation that certain high-ranking police officials, allegedly benefiting from the illicit coal trade, have provided targets to eliminate key operatives of the coal mafia permanently. The objective appears to be silencing those who could expose the truth. Intelligence suggests that individuals being questioned by the ED are now targets for assassination, preventing crucial information from coming to light. This mirrors past incidents where ‘encountering evidence’ under the guise of apprehending criminals was a practiced tactic. Jharkhand has a history with a controversial Director General of Police (DGP) accused of orchestrating killings for hire and amassing unprecedented corruption, allegations even echoed by members of the ruling party. The ED is being strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, as in this state, those who suppress truth, not those who speak it, hold sway. When power, the system, and criminal elements align, the subversion of justice becomes a mere formality.

A serious allegation has been leveled against the Jharkhand government by Babu Lal Marandi, the state BJP President and Leader of the Opposition. Marandi claims that the government is actively creating new crimes to conceal existing illegal activities, particularly within the state’s coal sector. Recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) actions in the ‘black empire’ of Dhanbad’s coal trade have unearthed alarming evidence. More disturbingly, it is reported that certain high-ranking police officials, allegedly benefiting financially from the coal mafia’s illicit earnings, have issued ‘targets’ to eliminate ground-level operatives of these mafias. This alleged directive aims to prevent these operatives from cooperating with the ED and revealing the truth about the deep-rooted corruption. Marandi expressed grave concern, stating that there are credible reports of plots to assassinate individuals being interrogated by the ED, thereby silencing them and suppressing crucial evidence. He drew parallels to past instances in Jharkhand where ‘encountering evidence’ was disguised as apprehending criminals. The state has a history of seeing police chiefs accused of orchestrating ‘supari’ (contract) killings and setting new benchmarks for corruption, allegations even made by members of the ruling party. Marandi urged the ED to exercise extreme caution, highlighting that in Jharkhand, those who suppress the truth, rather than those who speak it, often hold power. When the government, the system, and criminal elements align, the perversion of justice becomes a mere formality.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and leader of the opposition, Babulal Marandi, has leveled serious accusations against the Jharkhand government, alleging a deliberate effort to conceal criminal activities. Marandi stated that the state and its systems have developed a disturbing habit of inventing new crimes to cover up existing ones. Recent actions by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the coal mafia’s domain in Dhanbad have brought forth startling evidence. Most alarmingly, it is reported that certain high-ranking police officials, who have benefited financially from illegal coal trade, have issued directives to eliminate key associates of coal mafiosi permanently. This alleged directive aims to prevent the exposure of illicit dealings.

Information suggests that individuals being interrogated by the ED are now targets of assassination plots designed to stifle the truth from emerging. Marandi recalled past instances in Jharkhand where “encounter killings” were orchestrated under the guise of apprehending criminals, effectively destroying evidence. He pointed to a former Director General of Police (DGP) previously accused of orchestrating contract killings and engaging in rampant corruption, with allegations even coming from within the ruling party itself. He emphasized that the ED must exercise extreme caution in Jharkhand, where suppressing truth, rather than speaking it, often prevails. When power, the system, and criminal elements align, the subversion of justice becomes a mere formality.

A serious accusation has been leveled against the Jharkhand state government, with opposition leader Babulal Marandi alleging that the administration is actively creating new crimes to cover up existing ones. Marandi stated that in Jharkhand, the government and its systems have developed a habit of fabricating new criminal acts to conceal underlying issues. Recent actions by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the coal mafia’s operations in Dhanbad have unearthed startling evidence of this corruption. The most alarming revelation is the alleged directive from some high-ranking police officials, who are reportedly benefiting financially from illicit coal earnings, to ‘eliminate permanently’ key operatives of the coal mafia. This move is reportedly intended to silence individuals who could expose the truth. Information suggests that those being interrogated by the ED are now targets for assassination, designed to prevent the exposure of the illegal activities. This tactic of staging ‘evidence encounters’ in the guise of apprehending criminals has a history in the state. Jharkhand has previously witnessed a Director General of Police accused of orchestrating contract killings and setting new benchmarks for corruption, with even members of the ruling party reportedly making such allegations against him. The ED is urged to exercise extreme caution, as in this environment, those who suppress the truth, rather than those who speak it, hold power. When political power, administrative systems, and criminal elements converge, the obstruction of justice becomes a mere formality.

A sensational case of fraud involving crores of rupees has come to light in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a father-son duo is accused of swindling individuals under the guise of securing…

A sensational case of fraud involving crores of rupees has come to light in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where a father-son duo is accused of swindling individuals under the guise of securing assistant jobs in the High Court. The pair, residents of Tharpakhna in the Lower Bazaar police station area, allegedly exploited their perceived influence and connections with high-ranking officials to lure youths with the promise of government jobs, ultimately defrauding them of over a crore of rupees.

According to police, the accused, identified as Rajkumar and his son Paramit Raj, had been targeting unsuspecting youths for quite some time, claiming to have contacts that could easily facilitate assistant positions in the High Court. They used this pretense to extract substantial sums of money from more than half a dozen individuals. Initially, the father-son duo provided various assurances to the victims, but despite the passage of time, no jobs materialized. When the aggrieved youths demanded the return of their money, the pair went into hiding.

Forced to take action, the victims filed a written complaint at the police station. During the investigation, the police discovered that the accused had secretly returned to Ranchi and were hiding in their home. The victims promptly informed the police, who surrounded the house. The Lower Bazaar police, upon arriving at the scene, arrested both individuals and placed them in judicial custody. The police are conducting raids to apprehend a third accomplice in the case.

Police officials state that the accused collected significant amounts of money from several individuals, not just one or two, promising them jobs. The total amount of the fraud is estimated to be over a crore of rupees. This is not the first instance of job-related fraud in Ranchi, where individuals have been cheated under the pretext of high-level connections. Earlier this year, a woman named Usha Barla was arrested from the Bariatu area for posing as a doctor from RIMS and defrauding many people of lakhs of rupees. Some were hoping for jobs, while others were willing to pay for flats or other government benefits.

Cases have been registered against Usha Barla in various police stations including Nagri, Bariatu, Dhurwa, and Namkum. After months of effort and with the assistance of technical resources, the police apprehended her in June. The Ranchi police advise the public to be cautious in such cases and to immediately report any instances where money is demanded in exchange for a job or any other benefit.

Following the unrest in Nepal, Gen Z in Morocco has taken to the streets, staging protests since the final weeks of September. The discontent among the youth has spread across the nation, mirroring the situation in Nepal, with Moroccan youth now demanding the government’s removal. Demonstrators are calling for the King to dissolve the government. Tragically, the protests have resulted in three fatalities. The Moroccan youth group GenZ 212 has called for the government’s resignation, primarily due to concerns about corruption, the need for improved healthcare and education, and the desire for job opportunities. The protestors’ demands have escalated to the point of seeking regime change. The demonstrations, initially intended to be peaceful, turned violent, leading to clashes with the police on Tuesday and Wednesday. The authorities’ response resulted in three deaths. GenZ 212 issued a statement addressed to King Mohammed VI, urging the dismissal of the government, citing its failure to protect citizens’ constitutional rights and address their social concerns. They are also calling for a fair judicial process to prosecute those responsible for corruption. Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch had previously expressed the government’s willingness to address social demands and engage in dialogue regarding the youth protests.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that his party will not form an alliance with the Congress in Goa. He accused the Congress of betraying…

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced on Saturday that his party will not form an alliance with the Congress in Goa. He accused the Congress of betraying the people of the state. Addressing a press conference, the AAP leader alleged that the Congress has been selling its MLAs to the BJP in bulk.

Kejriwal stated that there would be no alliance with the Congress under any circumstances. He said that the Congress has betrayed the people of Goa the most. Between 2017 and 2019, 13 Congress MLAs joined the BJP, and in 2022, 10 more Congress MLAs joined the BJP. He questioned whether the Congress could assure that no Congress MLAs would join the BJP after winning the elections.

Kejriwal accused the Congress of selling its MLAs to the BJP in bulk. Targeting both the Congress and the BJP, the AAP chief described the Congress-BJP politics as ‘rotten’ and stated that his party would neither support nor assist the BJP in forming a government in Goa.

He emphasized the need for a new system where the people of Goa have control over their resources and can decide their own fate. Kejriwal asserted that they cannot help the BJP form a government in Goa and that there would be no alliance with the Congress. He called the Congress-BJP a system of rotten politics, advocating for a new system where the people of Goa determine the use of their resources.

Arvind Kejriwal is on a three-day visit to Goa, which began on October 3rd. Atishi, AAP’s Goa in-charge and former Delhi Chief Minister, was also present with him. Earlier on Friday, Kejriwal said that the state is suffocating in 13 years of corruption and goondaism by the BJP-Congress alliance government.

During these 13 years, Goa has witnessed large-scale illegal construction, illegal mining, rampant corruption, violence, state-sponsored goondaism, deteriorating law and order, high crime rates, pothole-ridden roads, crimes against women, constant power cuts, large-scale unemployment, a steep decline in tourism, and an assault on Goan culture. The next Goa Assembly elections are expected to be held in February 2027.
