  • Collector directed to make every effort to control and prevent bird flu disease

    After the confirmation of bird flu disease in dead birds (ducks, crows and migratory birds) found in many states of the country, Collector Raipur Dr. S. Rai as per the directions given by the Central and State Government. Bharatidasan has instructed all the veterinary hospitals and departmental officers and employees of the Veterinary Department of Raipur district to make every effort for disease control and prevention.

    Joint Director Veterinary Services Raipur Dr. Devendra Netam said that bird flu disease is a serious and deadly disease of birds, causing great harm to backyard poultry and poultry businesses. The disease also infects humans (Rvvadvajpab). There is a need to be vigilant in the winter season to prevent the entry of bird flu disease from across the state and to prevent abnormal disease and death in birds. They have asked to ensure complete preparedness and vigilance to prevent the entry of bird flu disease with this view.

    He told that the action plan modified by the Government of India. And surveying migratory and wild animals has been sent to the laboratory regularly for laboratory testing of serological and virological samples of birds of these areas.

    He said that migratory birds are important in terms of transmission of bird flu. Therefore, all the shelter sites of migratory birds of the district should be constantly monitored for abnormal deaths as well as make the list of migratory bird refuge sites available by the forest department to the office.

    Similarly, all general information about the disease should be sent to the poultry birds in the district, banning the movement of outsiders, vehicles and other materials to private poultry farmers in their areas and sending unusual numbers of dead birds to the nearest veterinary hospital. It has been asked to inform and diagnose and promote proper proper management of dead bodies / dead bodies.
