The family member provided information indicating Robinson’s confession or implication in the shooting. During a family dinner, Robinson reportedly discussed Kirk’s upcoming visit to Utah, expressing criticism and describing Kirk as a spreader of hate. Furthermore, Robinson’s roommate shared messages from Discord, where Robinson mentioned concealing a rifle wrapped in a towel. Patel later confirmed Robinson’s arrest, which occurred around 10 p.m. local time on September 11. The shooting took place at Utah Valley University, where Kirk was addressing a campus event, and resulted in a fatal neck wound.

No arrests have been made in the case, and the attacker’s identity remains unknown. The FBI has announced a reward of $100,000 (approximately 83 lakh rupees) for information leading to the suspect’s capture. The investigating agency posted on the social media platform X, stating that they are continuously working to bring justice in the murder of Charlie Kirk.
