On the very first day of New Year 2021, Chhattisgarh state has made an important achievement. Chhattisgarh Government has been awarded by Government of India for its inclusive model of ‘Mor Zameen-Mor Makan’ under Prime Minister Housing Scheme. In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri awarded the winners today via video conferencing. Urban Administration Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahariya received the award on behalf of Chhattisgarh Government. On completion of four years of the Mission under Prime Minister Housing Scheme, the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry had organised PMAY-U and Asha Award, under which Chhattisgarh has been awarded in three categories. This online award ceremony was attended by Department Minister Dr Dahariya, Joint Secretary R Ekka, SUDA CEO Saumil Ranjan Choubey and Deputy CEO Shailendra Patle. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated the Urban Administration Department and all the winners for this important achievement. He added that State Government has been doing significant work in the direction of providing housing facilities to underprivileged people, which has now been recognised and awarded by the Government of India. Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr Shiv Dahariya said that Chhattisgarh state has also presented striking examples for the country. Chhattisgarh has maintained the top position in the country in terms of cleanliness and now it has also set an example for the Housing Scheme through projects like ‘Asha Chadi Parwaan’. It is a moment of pride for every citizen of Chhattisgarh, said Dahariya. Chhattisgarh state has been awarded in the category of ‘Best Convergence with Other Mission’ for successful implementation of ‘Mor Zameen-Mor Makaan’ initiative by merging of various schemes to provide better basic facilities to the beneficiaries. Dongargarh Municipal Council has been awarded as the ‘Best Performing Municipal Council’ in the country for building the maximum numbers of houses. Houses of the three beneficiaries from Chhattisgarh namely Manju Sahu (Dhamtari), Mumtaz Begum (Dhamtari), Mamta Verma (Kawardha) were awarded under the ‘Best House Construction Category’.

President Ram Nath Kovind today honored those who did remarkable work in the field of digital governance. President Kovind presented the Digital India Awards today. During this time the President said, “This year is going to end now and we hope that the epidemic will also end soon.” The President said, “It would not be an exaggeration to say that the corona virus has changed the world in terms of social relations, economic activities, health care, education and many other aspects of life.”

President Ramnath Kovind attended the Digital India Award 2020 through video conferencing. Regarding the Digital India Awards, the President said, “reflects the government’s holistic approach to empowering citizens to achieve their aspirations and make India a digital superpower”.
He said that technological development is often referred to as ‘disruption’, but this year he helped us to overcome the huge disruption to a great extent. The President said that even for the government, information technology was one of the most important tools for providing various types of services to the citizens and turning the wheels of the economy.

PM Modi to lay foundation stone of AIIMS at Rajkot on Dec 31
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay foundation stone of AIIMS in Rajkot, Gujarat on December 31 via video conferencing.
The foundation laying ceremony will take place at 11 am, according to a release by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
For the project, 201 acres of land has been allotted. It will be built at an estimated cost Rs 1195 crores, and is expected to be completed by mid of 2022, it added.The state-of-the-art 750-bed hospital will also have a 30-bed AAYUSH block. It will have 125 MBBS seats and 60 nursing seats.

PM Modi flags off 100th run of ‘Kisan Rail’ trains
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday flagged off the 100th run of the Kisan Rail via video conferencing, calling the service a major step towards increasing the “income of farmers”.
Speaking on the occasion, the PM said the service will bring a major change in the farm sector and increase the strength of the country’s cold supply chain. Union railway minister Piyush Goyal and agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar also attended the event.
“The Prime Minister termed the Kisan Rail Service as a major step towards increasing the income of the farmers of the country. He expressed happiness that even during the Corona pandemic, 100 Kisan Rails were launched in the last four months. He said this service will bring a major change in the economy related to farming and will also increase the strength of the country’s cold supply chain,” a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said.
The train, starting from Sangola in Maharashtra and culminating in Shalimar in West Bengal, will cover a distance of 2,132 km with more than 400 tonnes of cargo at a speed of 54.6 kmph in around 39 hours. It is carrying pomegranate, custard apples, grapes and oranges.

PM Modi will show 100th Farmers Rail today, this train will run between Maharashtra and West Bengal
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off 100th Kisan Rail from Sangola in Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal, via video conferencing today at 4:30 pm.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the multi-commodity train service will carry vegetables such as cauliflower, capsicum, cabbage, drumsticks, chillies, onion, as well as fruits like grapes, oranges, pomegranate, banana, custard apple etc. Loading and unloading of perishable commodities will be permitted at all en route stoppages with no bar on size of the consignment. The Government of India has extended a subsidy of 50 per cent on transportation of fruits and vegetables.
The first Kisan Rail was introduced from Devlali to Danapur on August 7 this year, which was extended up to Muzaffarpur. Its frequency was also increased from weekly to three days a week.
Kisan Rail has been a “game-changer” in ensuring “fast transportation of agriculture produce” across the nation. It provides a “seamless” supply chain of perishable produce, as per the PMO.In another development, Modi will inaugurate also India’s first-ever driverless train operations on the Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line (Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden) on Monday at 11 am via video conferencing. He will launch the fully operational National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) services on the Airport Express Line as well in the same event.

PM Modi to flag off 100th Kisan Rail and country’s first driverless metro on Monday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the 100th farmer train running from Sangola in Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal on Monday 28 December through video conferencing. Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Narendra Singh Tomar will also be present on this occasion. With this, PM Modi will also flag off the driverless metro train of Delhi Metro.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, this train will take vegetables like cabbage, capsicum, cabbage, chilli and onion and fruits like grapes, oranges, pomegranates, bananas and sitaphal. He said that perishable goods will be allowed to be unloaded and offered at all stops on the route and there will be no limit to the quantity of shipment.
The Prime Minister’s Office said that Kisan Rail has proved to be revolutionary for making agricultural products faster in the whole country. It provides a seamless supply chain for perishable products. Modi will give the green signal to the train against the three new agricultural laws of the Center by a section of farmers on the borders of Delhi. Unloading will be allowed on the stoppage of fruits and vegetables in the multi-commodity train en route. There will be no one on the size of the shipment.
