  • Maharashtra Christian couple, 2 others held in MP for abusing another faith at religious gathering

    Express News Service

BHOPAL: Four persons, including a couple from Maharashtra and two others associated with a local church, have been arrested by police for using abusive language against another religion at a religious gathering in the tribal-dominated Betul district of Madhya Pradesh.

The four persons, identified as Vijay Jadhav (59) and his wife Ruth Bai (46) – both natives of Kothara village of Maharashtra’s Amravati district – and two others Dany Paul (21) and Saibu Ivne (50), both reportedly related to a local church in Betul were arrested by the cops of Bhainsdehi police station in Betul district for defaming the other religion at a religious gathering organized at Udama village on Saturday.

“We got information from one Raju on Saturday about Betul church people and some others organizing a religious gathering of people. The gathering organizers were praising their religion, but using objectionable language for the other religion. The cops reached the spot and seized from the spot religious literature, including some books, pamphlets and notebooks. The arrested foursome has been booked under Section 295A IPC and provisions of the SC/ST Act,” sub-divisional officer police (SDOP) Shivcharan Bohit said on Monday.

The police officer added that the primary probe suggests that people associated with local Church and Christian Missionary organizations of adjoining Maharashtra often come to the village and hold prayer meetings where they defame and abuse another religion and community, possibly with the intent of conversion.

Importantly, those arrested by the police from Udama village on Saturday created ruckus before their arrest at the prayer venue. A video of the incident showed the Christian couple from Maharashtra indulging in a war of words with local residents and cops at the spot. The couple alleged that instead of acting against them, the police should stop medically ill people from coming to prayers for healing.

  • Jharkhand village ostracizes families that converted to Christianity

    Express News Service

RANCHI: The gram sabha at Mangapat Sirsai village under Majhgaon Police Station in West Singhbhum ostracized three tribal families which converted into Christianity in presence of Police.

The decision was taken after the gram sabha made repeated requests to the families to return back to Sarna Religion, but in vain.

According to a diktat issued by the gram sabha on Friday, the converted families will not be allowed to use common properties of the village. They will also be barred from free movement inside the village, will graze their cattle only on their own land, will not be invited to any social gathering or function, and nobody will interact with them.

A meeting will also be held every Sunday to review whether the villagers are abiding by the proscription imposed by gram sabha or not.

According to the district president of Adivasi Ho Samaj Yuva Mahasabha, Gabbar Singh Hembrom, if anybody is found not abiding by the proscription imposed on the three families, he/she will be imposed fine by the gram sabha.

The decision was taken by a gram sabha, held to take a decision on the issue as it was creating disturbances on several occasions during social and religious occasions.

“Entire population in the village is the followers of Sarna Religion, but Raut Bankira, Rajendra Bankira, and Hiralal Bankira converted into Christianity along with their families on their own about a year ago. Few rounds of meetings were also held earlier requesting them to return back to our religion but they refused to do so. Finally, a meeting was held on Friday where the local police were also present and given last chance for homecoming but they refused again,” said Hembrom.

Therefore, a decision was taken by the gram sabha that they will not get any kind of co-operation from the villagers and the three families will be treated as outcasts. They were also asked not to put their feet on the land of the villagers, he added.

The village has nearly 200 households with a total population of around 700.

Hembrom alleged that Christian missionaries, which are quite active in the area, have been luring the tribals with land and money to convert them, and hence, they were forced to take this stern action. He, however, said that Adivasi Ho Samaj Yuva Mahasabha and the villagers are still ready to accept them if they shun Christianity and return to Sarna Religion.

District Police asserted the incident, said that a close vigil is being kept on the village to prevent any untoward incident.

“As anybody can practice any religion in this country, both the parties have been warned that strict action will be taken if they tried to take law in their hands,” said SP Ajay Linda.

  • Sukma SP orders surveillance of Christian missionaries’ activities in tribal areas

    Express News Service
RAIPUR: In an official circular that may possibly ignite controversy, the Sukma SP has instructed his subordinates and officers in charge of all the police stations in the district to maintain strict surveillance over the activities of the Christian missionaries and the converted tribals.

“The Christian missionaries and the tribal Christians are routinely venturing in internal areas of the district and persuading the non-Christian tribals to get converted by enticing and offering them allurement. Owing to this, the situation resulting into a conflict between the local tribals and those converted (to Christianity) can’t be ruled out”, said the official letter issued by Sukma SP Sunil Sharma.

The SP issued a directive to the district police to keep the intelligence network on alert. “Maintain a consistent watch over the activities of Christian missionaries and converted tribals residing in the district and report if any of their acts perceived as suspicious”, stated the circular.

The Sukma SP admitted to The New Indian Express of having sent out the letter to the district police officers.

“The circular is more as preventive in nature rather than prohibitory. Keeping in view some nearby districts where conflicts were reported owing to religious conversions, I intended such a situation shouldn’t arise in Sukma and the social harmony prevails. The police have been asked to gather its own information through their network on religious conversion activities by enticement”, said Sharma and added that all have the right to follow their faiths.

However, the Christian community felt offended by the internal official communication.

“This is totally pre-meditated. The district officials are supposed to protect the Constitutional rights of citizens and not trample them. How could the IPS officer conclude that Christian missionaries are involved in religious conversion without any investigation? Every Indian has the right to move to any place and practise his/her faith. The officer should say if he has the figures on how many tribals been lured to convert, what temptations given, and if any case registered during the past two decades in that area? This is an attempt to create animosity against our religion”, asserted Arun Pannalal, president of Chhattisgarh Christian Forum.

The Christians alleged that the people of their community are repeatedly harassed in the tribal-dominated Bastar.

  • Editorial :- Sonia Boli Hum ? Hai Numbari One…

The TDP’s no confidence motion has been approved. SP said no, but the government will lie to the lie. Sonia quote: Who says we do not have numbers? Some opposition parties released the whip.

BJP released Whip, Ananth Kumar said that the government has two-thirds majority.

Taking law into its own hands can not be said in any way. In the same way cheating the public by becoming a polymorphism can not be said in any way appropriate.

We are now seeing that many hypocritical monks have remained. Garuda wearing clothes and conspiring against Hindus. Many leaders can also join. They are doing this for vote bank politics but it also creates instability in the country.

It is being seen that some churches belonging to Christian missionaries have also been wearing garland cloth and promoting them against Hindus, especially the tribal society.

In addition to the North-East, Jharkhand, Bastar etc. are some of the areas which are tribal plurality. The task of provoking innocent people is trapped in the eyes of missionaries and foreign tactical leaders.

Swamy Agrush Garuda is a garmentsman. From most people’s point of view, they create anarchy against Hindus. It can not be said, unless it is true.

Perhaps copying him, the Congress spokesman made Rahul Gandhi a Jnanubeer. In protest against the unfair treatment done by some people by taking the law into the hands of Swami Agrahas, the Youth Congress was fiercely demonstrated in Ranchi.

We are unable to understand why the secularists, especially the Congress, have two faces?

There was a debate on issuing fatwa to Nida Khan, who opposed the three divorces. The debate had just escalated that Maulana Ejaz Arshad Qasmi started killing him on a comment by Ambar Zaidi calling him a deceitful woman.

It was unreasonable to raise hands on Swamy Agrovas. But even more fierce offense is to raise a Muslim lawyer on a woman by a maulana related to Muslim personal law.

In the case of Swamy Agravas by the Congress, they performed fiercely. Rahul Gandhi also expressed anguish over it but did not say a word on the Muslim lawyer who was beaten and beaten by the Maulvi.

It is clear that the advocate has gone to the Supreme Court against the woman’s three-divorce, halala etc. and today a court has given a judicial verdict in favor of the triple-divorced woman, and the order of the court will also suit her husband and father-in-law.

Now I think it is appropriate to discuss the words spoken in the beginning of the editorial.

Sonia Gandhi’s ego has been released in relation to the motion of no confidence. There are at least fifty members in the Lok Sabha for the opposition party, so the non-commissioned party is saying that she has numbers.

Congress is not in the majority, then it has grabbed the weakness of democracy and has been governing the party leader with some members as the Prime Minister or the Chief Minister, and has been ruled by the back door and is doing it in Karnataka too.

Karnataka Chief Minister Kumar Swamy has harassed the Congress in such a way that tears have been published in his eyes so it has been published in the media.

But Congress is a Muslim party. It has been accepted by Rahul Gandhi himself in an Urdu newspaper. There should be no dispute on this because Sonia Gandhi proved it even after tears at the time of the Batala House Encounter.

Pandit Nehru also proved that he is a Hindu, otherwise he is a Muslim with education and culture.

Firoz Khan’s grandson Rahul Gandhi may never have the name of his grandfather, nor has the Nehru-Gandhi family ever offered flowers at his mazar.

Regardless of this, Sonia Gandhi’s say that she has a number. That means they can support some opposition parties. In Karnataka, the tears of fellow Chief Minister Kumar Swamy surely are reminded of the days when the Congress betrayed Chandrashekhar, Devgowda, Ikkumar Gujral in the notorious opportunistic alliances and insulted respectable Congress leaders like Sita Ram Kesari and Narasimha Rao. It was not that they belong to the Nehru-Gandhi family.

Every coalition of Congress is a continuous documentary flow of betrayal and deceit by the public.

It is clear from now that in the Lok Sabha which is a mathematics, there are about 300 NDA members. It is possible that some opposition members also vote against the motion of no confidence. That is, the ego of Congress is that it has number
