  • Thousands of people participated in the Samvidhan Bachao Rally Organised at Bhilai

The form of fierce protest against common citizens of NRC and CAA across the country was also seen in Bhilai here in presence of thousands of citizens engaged in the program of Constitution Save Committee. Everyone had a tricolor flag in their hands and posters with innocent lines were in hand, I am a citizen of India, why should I prove my identity. Along with common citizens, members of social organizations, artists, students and people from all sections were present in the rally. Who collectively expressed concern over the current situation in the country.
At the committee’s rally, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed his opinion about the NRC to the general public through the examples of Swami Vivekananda and Gandhiji. He said that Swami Vivekananda had said about the land of India in the program of the World Religion Conference in Chicago in 1893 that I come from a country which gives place to persecuted people from all over the world. Similarly, in 1906, the Asian Registration Citizen Bill in South Africa required people of Asian descent to give their finger prints and Gandhiji denied it. He said that I will not sign in the register. You have to prove your Indianness in NRC. Most of you here in Bhilai have come from every corner of the country. You have to go to those areas to bring documents related to your parents. It would be hard work and think that if there is a clerical error in your identity related documents, then go round the court to prove your citizenship. Giving the example of Assam, he said that in the process of NRC, the descendants of former President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed were also left out. Even the family of a BJP MLA was thrown out. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal himself is saying that errors have remained during the NRC. There is a fire in Assam and the central government wants to spread this fire across the country. There is a contradiction in the statement of the Home Minister and the Prime Minister. There seems to be no clarity in this regard. If NRC is implemented, how many people will have to visit government offices to prove their identity. The Chief Minister said that the government should take out the infiltrators from the country, put agencies for this, we will help, but it is not right to disturb the entire people of the country in this way and waste of money and resources and time. Giving the example of Assam, he said that the process lasted for 10 years, costing 1600 crore rupees, yet there are so many errors. If this happens across the country, imagine what the situation will be. The Central Government wants to spread the fire of Assam across the country. The Chief Minister said that today there is a terrible problem of unemployment in the country. The economy is devastated. Beyond these issues, in which direction are we taking the country. This needs to be noted. During this, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, MLA Shri Arun Vora and Bhilai MLA Shri Devendra Yadav and representatives of all sections were present.
Why should we give children identity of Mother India, people of all classes were present in Bhilai. They had placards in their hands like we children of Mother India, why give their paper identity. Similarly, some people held placards in their hands, silence is a crime. Some had slogans, preparing to destroy the tribals. The jungle is set to be given to Ambani-Adani.

  • In the Congress ruled Madhya Pradesh, after Urea crisis, now the public is hit by power shortage

It is rightly said where the Congress party put its step forward the problem starts emerging. In fact the name of the Congress party is Problem. The same is being witnessed in the states of MadhyaPradesh, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan which has recently gone under the rule of Congress

Back to back, one after the other the people of state are facing the heat of various false promises made by the Congress Government

Already struggling with the Urea crisis, the state under the leadership of senior Congress leader Kamal Nath is now faced with another crisis. Now the state is witnessing a potential power shortage due to diminishing coal stocks in major power plants.

Four prominent power plants in the state are left with very little stocks of coal that would only last one to two days’ and any delay in its supply could lead to a power shortage, the sources claimed.

Although officers from the Department of Energy have said that the situation is not out of control yet as power plants are being supplied coal stocks in excess of the daily requirements and the department is also busy enhancing the coal supplies but the situation seems to be different and telling a different story

Four major power plants, including Singaji, Chachai (Amarkantak), Birsinghpur and Satpura, require around 60,000 metric tonnes of coal daily, and the problem arises from the fact that coal supplies are almost in the same range due to which the plants are not able to compile additional stocks.

Whatever quantity of coal these plants require they get from the central pool, but the central pool facilities have minimal stocks. So if the supplies are ever hindered for a day or two, the power generation could face a serious impact.

Power plant at Amarkantak has 49,580 metric tonne coal, Birsinghpur plant has 24, 940 metric tonne, Singaji plant has 30,855 tonne and the Satpura thermal power plant has 22,706 metric tonne left in stock. In all, these thermal power plants require 60,000 metric tonne coal per day to stay afloat.

Various public sector companies are supplying 15 to 20 racks of coal on a daily basis but there are probable chances of state getting into power crisis.

Earlier also during the Congress’ government with the tenure of former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh MP had plunged into a deep power crisis after most power plants were pocketed by Chhattisgarh which carved out of the central state in 2000. With the season of Rabi, a winter crop, at its peak, the demand for power is now around 13,000 MW in the state.

The Congress had always attacked Prime Minister Modi on issue of farmer distress and made it a major political and electoral issue. But now when Congress has got power, the farmers of those states are struggling more. The same urea which was easily available in the BJP era at a nominal price is scarce in the state and being sold in black. At the peak time farmers are also facing power crisis. This shows the hypocrisy of Congress Government which only thinks about coming into power by hook and crook and later exploit the people

  • Yogi most sought-after campaigner in just-concluded Assembly polls

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emerged as the most sought after star poll campaigner as he addressed 74 election meetings in the last 21 days in four poll-bound States.

The poll results of these states will be announced on December 11. In an informal chat with this reporter, Yogi recently said that the public response was quite enthusiastic wherever he addressed rallies.

“The election campaigning was hectic but the response of the people made my visits worthwhile,” Yogi told this reporter at his 5, Kalidas Marg official residence in Lucknow.

“At some places, the response was unexpected. All grounds were full of audience and the people waited for me despite I being late for the meetings at certain places. Going by public response, the BJP is bound to do well in these elections,” Yogi said.

The elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana are being seen as the a semifinal before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP used star campaigners led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi  in these elections. Among the other campaigners, Yogi Adityanath was the most sought after.

Yogi addressed 17 rallies in Madhya Pradesh, 23 in Chhattisgarh and 26 in Rajasthan. He also campaigned in Telangana and addressed eight rallies there. Yogi’s overall tally of poll meetings was the highest for any star campaigner of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The saffron clad Mahant of Gorakhnath temple spoke on Ram and Hindutava in his speeches and even created a controversy by terming Lord Hanuman as a Dalit. His one-liner ‘Ali and Bajrang Bali’ made headlines when he said ‘Aapko Ali mubarak, hamare liye to Bajrangbali hi kaafi hain’.

This may have been a part of design as the party faced tough challenge from a resurgent Congress in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The BJP worked on a two-pronged strategy. While Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invoked Ram and Hindutava, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah talked about development.

A senior BJP leader said that Yogi was much in demand in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh but he could not be accommodated properly because of tight schedule.

“The CM used to address rallies the whole day and by the evening he used to fly back to Lucknow and hold meetings with officials,” he said.

Another reason for his increasing demand was that he has a large followers of Nath sect in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
