Raipur. Vishnu government of Chhattisgarh is working hard for the welfare of people with good governance as its goal. As a result, the positive effect of the government’s work is also visible, an example of which is Chhindola village of Mainpur development block of Gariaband district. The special backward Kamar tribe living here saw the light of electricity after 75 years of independence. Electricity has reached the Kamar colony of the village for the first time, due to which the villagers are very happy. For this, the villagers not only expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai but also invited him to their village through the media.

On this subject, CM Sai said that such news is proof of the good work of our government, which gives spiritual satisfaction. Our government, working with the aim of good governance, has provided electricity to Chhindola village of Gariaband district under the Janman Yojana, due to which the residents of the village, especially the backward Kamar tribe, have seen light after 75 years of independence. The villagers are happy and what can be a greater happiness for us than this. Our government is providing basic facilities to the people at the bottom of the society.

The villagers were tired of the continuous protests

It is noteworthy that people of the special backward Kamar tribe live in the dependent village Chhindola of Gram Panchayat Dabnai, 19 km away from Mainpur Tehsil headquarters. • Ending of exemptions in the provision of e-way bill will curb bogus and raw billing

Raipur. The Commercial Tax (GST) department has abolished the exemption given in the provisions of e-way bill in the state. The government has issued a notification on May 24 itself. It will now be necessary for businessmen in the state to generate e-way bill for transporting goods worth more than 50 thousand rupees. Till now it was not necessary to issue e-way bill for transporting goods within a district in the state. Also, e-way bill was not required for transporting any goods within the state except 15 goods.

Exemption from the provisions of e-way bill was given in the year 2018 because these provisions were new and it was necessary to give time to businessmen/transporters to become well acquainted with these provisions. It has been 6 years now since the provisions of e-way bill were implemented across the country and everyone has become well acquainted with it. It is worth mentioning here that except for one or two states, e-way bill is mandatory for transportation of goods within the state in most of the states of the country. The Central Tax Department has also agreed to end the exemption from e-way bill.

The exemption given in issuing e-way bill has been most misused by those doing circular trading and issuing bogus bills, therefore the most benefit of abolishing this exemption will be to those businessmen who pay their taxes honestly, but due to circular trading or issuing bogus bills, they do not get the benefit of ITC. Implementation of the provisions of e-way bill will help the department in stopping circular trading and bogus billing. Abolition of the exemption given in the provisions of e-way bill will have a positive impact on the environment of tax compliance in the state. This will curb the tendencies of issuing bogus bills, issuing raw bills and evading taxes.

Even after the deadline has expired and years have passed, the road has not been completed yet. Now, in view of the upcoming monsoon, ADB is preparing to build the road against the rules. But till date those remaining farmers have not been given compensation. Farmers have been continuously pleading with the government and administration since the year 2021.

    Illegal road construction

According to the information, 16 meter wide land was required to build roads on these two routes, but at many places the farmers were not satisfied with the compensation amount, due to which the agreement between those farmers and ADB could not be reached. Now ADB officials are building roads against the rules at those places. At many places, preparations are underway to build 12 meter, 10 meter and 8 meter roads. While the estimate for road construction has already been prepared, but now ADB is getting work done beyond the estimate, which is against the rules.

    what do the officials say

In this case, the revenue officer says that consensus has not been reached with some farmers, but in view of the rains, the road will be constructed on the old government road. If consensus is reached with the farmers later, the road will be widened further.
