  • Xiaomi Removes Charger From Box After Mocking Apple For It

Only a few weeks after mocking Apple for not including a charger with its iPhone 12 series smartphones, Xiaomi appears to be doing the same. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has now confirmed that the company’s latest flagship – the Mi 11 – will not bundle a charger inside. This despite the fact that back in October, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer had taken a pointed dig at Apple, boasting on Twitter that it “didn’t leave anything out of the box with the #Mi10TPro.”

Several Twitter users took to the microblogging platform to troll Xiaomi for doing the same thing that it had criticised Apple for.Samsung – Apple’s biggest rival which had also mocked the company for not including a charger with the iPhone 12 series – got caught in the crossfire.

  • After Mocking Apple, Xiaomi Confirms That Mi 11’s Retail Box Won’t Include USB Charger

Months after mocking Apple for removing charger from the iPhone 12 retail box, Xiaomi has announced that it would too ship the upcoming Mi 11 without a power adapter. The Mi 11 series that is expected to pack the vanilla Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro will launch on December 28 in China. The latest development was shared by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun via a post on Weibo. Xiaomi echoes Apple’s reasoning related to environmental protection for the removal of the charger from Mi 11’s box. Moreover, Samsung that too mocked Apple for its decision in October is rumoured to ship the next Galaxy S21 smartphones without a charger.

The Xiaomi executive further revealed the design of the Mi 11’s retail box which is not only thinner compared to other phones’ boxes that come with a charger, but it also lists some of the Mi 11’s features. For instance, the retail box highlights 108-megapixel camera, Super AMOLED screen, HDR10+ certification, and audio tuning by Harman Kardon. Earlier this week, the Chinese tech company announced that the smartphone(s) would feature a new display tech with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Xiaomi has also showcased the vanilla Mi 11’s Geekbench scores that are significantly higher than the scores attained by Mi 10. The new series will pack the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

  • Samsung on Apple’s path, charger will not be available with this smartphone

Apple had decided not to provide chargers and earphones with the iPhone 12 and at that time big companies like Xiaomi, OnePlus and Samsung made fun of Apple. Now it is news that Samsung is also following the path of Apple. According to the report, Samsung Galaxy S21 is now going to sell without charger in many countries. According to the report of xda developers, the sale of Galaxy S21 in Brazil will now be without charger, although this has not been confirmed by Samsung yet. If this happens, Samsung will be the second company after Apple to not provide a charger in the box with the phone.

Let me tell you that Samsung had made fun of iPhone without charger on its Facebook page, but this post was later deleted. Now the Galaxy S21 has been seen in Brazil with no charger, but it has not yet been clear that in other countries also Samsung will sell the Galaxy S21 without charger or provide the charger together.
