Under this scheme, not only cow dung is being purchased, but organic farming is also being encouraged by preparing vermi compost from cow dung. At the same time, excellent quality organic manure is also being prepared from earthworms produced in Gothan, which is being seen as a better option in place of fertilizer and chemical fertilizer in future.
Chairperson of Self Help Group of Village Gatapar (Korra) of Kurud Development Block, Smt. Gauri Sahu said that a total of 430 registered families have 1320 livestock in the village panchayat Gatapar. The group sold 86.48 quintals of vermi fertilizer for the first 66 thousand 576 rupees under Narva, Garuva, Ghurwa, Bari programs, while the vermi fertilizer produced under the Godan Nyaya Yojana sold 25 quintals (Rs 25 thousand) out of 35 quintals. . In addition, 3.51 quintal earthworm has been sold for Rs. 56 thousand 160 at the rate of Rs. 1600 per quintal. Likewise, dung is filled with dung in all stitches.
