  • Kovid 19 vaccine is 100 percent effective in preventing death due to this disease – Dr. Smit Srivastava

According to Dr. Smit Srivastava, Head of the Department of Cardiology Advanced Cardiac Institute Medical College Raipur, the vaccine of Kovid 19 is 100 percent effective in preventing death due to this disease. Even after applying it, if the person gets an infection, it will not be of serious type. He stated that the vaccination of the high-risk group, ie, the population above 45 years of age, would greatly reduce the death rate, because currently, this group makes up about 90 percent of the patients who die from the disease. . Therefore, people in these age groups must vaccinate.
Dr. Srivastava said that people with Kovid infection in the past should get vaccinated after 8-12 weeks of recovery. If a person has received plasma therapy for the treatment of Kovid-19 infection, he should wait 8–12 weeks before taking the vaccine. The vaccine is safe in patients with hypertension, diabetes, kidney failure, and heart disease who have undergone bypass, post-angiography, and dialysis. Patients with ‘blood thinners’ such as warfarin or new anti-coagulation agents have a smaller risk of inflammation at the injection site. Patients who are on these new agents can skip their morning dose, take the vaccine and continue to the next regular dose.
Patients with neurological complications such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, dementia should take the vaccine as it is safe for them. Any type of immunosuppressant (ie, patients undergoing organ transplant) can safely take the vaccine. However, the immune response may not be complete. It should be checked with your doctor before enrolling. He said that this vaccine does not cause impotence and neither can replace the DNA of a person with a vaccine. This is not a scientific fact.
Patients with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy should consult their doctor and seek an appropriate time for vaccination between chemotherapy cycles. Ideally, the patient should wait for chemotherapy for at least 4 weeks after taking the vaccine. Fever, body pain, dizziness, headache are common symptoms after vaccination. Paracetamol can be taken after vaccination if necessary, and most symptoms can be well controlled.
