During an IANS interaction, Pal quipped, ‘The weak one is he who searches for a prop. BSP stands tall and will battle solo with unshakeable strength.’ He questioned the necessity of coalitions for self-proclaimed powerhouses: ‘Prove your strength by fighting alone; only then will the true picture of public support emerge.’

Turning the spotlight on SP’s rebranding of Kanshi Ram Jayanti as PDA Day, Pal labeled it Akhilesh Yadav’s theatrical ploy. ‘If he had respected Kanshi Ram earlier, no such drama would be needed today. As CM, he scrapped the holiday and obliterated namesakes,’ he charged.

Pal reminisced about BSP’s contributions: naming Kasganj district after Kanshi Ram and launching myriad schemes, all dismantled by SP post-2012. This history, he argued, exposes SP’s opportunism.

Addressing the Swami Avimukteshwaranand row, Pal advocated restraint in politics. ‘No party should exploit religion. Ambedkar’s Constitution guarantees dignity to every citizen, regardless of faith or caste. The government must ensure no saint or community leader faces indignity,’ he implored.

With alliances fracturing and solo strategies gaining traction, BSP’s stance could reshape UP’s electoral landscape, drawing on its ideological roots for a resurgence.
