  • Kelly Clarkson opens up about ‘having Hard time’ during holidays amid Brandon Blackstock divorce

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: The holiday season isn’t always merry for everyone — that’s the message Kelly Clarkson recently shared with her fans.

As per E! News, during her new NBC special, ‘Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around’, she opened up about the not-so-cheery side to the holidays, before performing her latest song ‘Merry Christmas (to the One I Used to Know)’.

“The holidays come with a whole range of emotions. I’m gonna be real with y’all, when I wrote this next song, I was crying my face off, which happens even at Christmastime, everyone. I had just put my kids to bed and I was just going through it, having a really hard time, and it’s been a really tough year for a lot of us,” Kelly said.

She continued, “And I wrote this song for me, but also because there aren’t many holiday songs for people feeling alone or lost or just plain sad other than Dolly Parton’s classic ‘Hard Candy Christmas,’ which we all love.”

Kelly later gave an emotional performance of ‘Merry Christmas (to the One I Used to Know)’.

‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ host also performed ‘Christmas Isn’t Canceled’, a breakup anthem she released in September.

The ‘American Idol’ alum hasn’t shied away from discussing her heartbreak since she filed for divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock in June 2020 after seven years of marriage. They share two kids, River, 7, and Remington, 5.

Last December, Kelly explained just how “horrible” it has been to go through a divorce.

“There are so many hard parts and the hardest for me is the kids. That’s the hardest part for me. You know, I always think as women, especially we’re trained…to take it all on and you can deal with it and you’re fine. But it’s your babies that you worry about,” she detailed on her talk show at the time.

This past March, the award-winning singer was in much higher spirits, sharing on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, “I’m actually in that place where I think a lot of people, I’ve heard, that go through a divorce, it’s almost like you start dating yourself again. You actually make time for yourself again, and I love dating me. I’m actually not looking for it.”

  • Singer Kelly Clarkson officially divorces Brandon Blackstock

    By ANI

WASHINGTON: Singer Kelly Clarkson has been officially declared single amid her ongoing divorce from Brandon Blackstock. The couple has split after 7 years of marriage.

According to the court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, a judge has declared both Kelly and Brandon single by signing off on the pair’s ‘single status’ last month. However, the actual divorce will become final on January 7, 2022.

The split has been somewhat contentious and has included a number of surprising allegations by both camps, but the former couple has managed to work out a plan for the custody of their two children – River Rose and Remington Alexander. Brandon also has two children — Savannah, and Seth from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

The judge awarded the ‘American Idol’ alum primary physical custody of the little ones on a temporary basis. The order is expected to become permanent, as Brandon has relocated from Los Angeles – where Kelly lives – to Montana.

Brandon, also Kelly’s former manager, has been awarded temporary spousal support of USD 195,601 per month, which is also considered likely to become permanent, though it would end in 2023. The two married in 2014, and the support would only last for half of the length of their marriage.

The pair became involved in a legal battle with Starstruck Management after their split. The celebrity management company is owned by Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock.

As per Us Weekly, in September 2020, Kelly was sued by the management company for allegedly owing more than USD 1 million in unpaid commissions to the company. In the following month, the ‘Miss Independent’ songstress filed a petition claiming that Brandon and Narvel ‘defrauded’ her of millions of dollars by charging her huge fees while she was working with their company.

But Brandon denied all her allegations saying that she was not entitled to any of the money that he, his father or their company earned during their 13 years of working together. Reportedly, the legal battle is still going on.

  • Kelly Clarkson’s estranged husband Brandon Blackstock denies singer’s defrauding claim

    By ANI
WASHINGTON: American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson’s estranged husband Brandon Blackstock has hit back at the star in their ongoing legal battle.

According to Fox News, last year, the 38-year-old songstress claimed Blackstock and his company had defrauded her out of a large sum of cash by charging her excessive fees.

Now, amid their ongoing divorce and legal battle, the 44-year-old talent manager has denied such claims, according to court documents obtained by multiple outlets.

Starstruck Management Group, which is run by Blackstock’s father Narvel Blackstock, has reportedly denied all accusations levelled against them.

The company said they’re not regulated by the Talent Agencies Act because they did not perform their duties in California, and have denied that she is owed relief, Fox News quoted a report by ‘Entertainment Tonight’.

The outlet also obtained a statement from Clarkson’s attorney in response. “We stand by our allegations that Starstruck violated the Talent Agencies Act, despite their boilerplate denials, and we look forward to trying the case before the Labor Commissioner in August,” attorney Ed McPherson said.

According to Us Weekly, the original claim filed by the ‘Because of you’ songstress, stated that the singer had entered a verbal agreement with the Blackstock and Starstruck.

However, she argued that such an agreement was a “fraudulent and subterfuge device” that made room for her managers to perform “illegal services” as agents in California, where they did not have a license to operate.

Fox News reported that The legal battle has been messy and two-sided, as the management company has also sued the ‘American Idol’ champ over alleged unpaid commissions.
