  • Delegation of Bastar Dussehra Committee met courtesy of Chief Minister

    The delegation of Bastar Dussehra Committee led by Industry Minister Shri Kavasi Lakhma and Lok Sabha Constituency MP Mr. Deepak Badge met courtesy of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office here today. The Chief Minister was presented a wreath by the Vice-Chairman of the committee during this period and duly invited him to participate in the Bastar Dussehra 2020 program. The delegation from Bastar told the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel that this year the 105 day festival will start from Hareli Amavasya and will be celebrated till the 13th day of Ashwin Shukla Paksha, Under which there will be many traditional Puja Vidhan programs. This year the Bel Navata program will be completed on 22 October and the Rath Parikrama Puja Vidhan on 26 October. Bastar Dussehra of Chhattisgarh is unique in addition to Mysore (Karnataka) and Kinnaur (Himachal Pradesh). Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while thanking the delegation for being invited to Bastar Dussehra, said that the world famous Bastar Dussehra is a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage and social harmony. Shri Balaram Manjhi, Shri Premlal Manjhi, Shri Padmaram Chalki, Shri Satish Mishra and Shri Bharatik Maurya were present on the occasion.

        Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the State Government has consistently taken decisions in the interest of industries with full sensitivity. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel himself discussed the problems of the industry from time to time with the representatives of different sectors from time to time during the lockdown period and took quick decisions to resolve the problems. In the recently held cabinet meeting, several important decisions regarding industries were taken. There was an increase of one year in the period prescribed for setting up industries in the land leased to industries. Transfer of land was made easier in cases of non-use of industrial land allotted on lease. An 18-month period has been fixed for earlybird grant for setting up new bio-ethanol plant. First MOU After the start of production within six months there was a provision for grant of earlybird grant. This period has now been extended to 18 months.

  • Schools will not open in Raipur even after Oct 15, the government took this decision in the cabinet meeting,

    The Chhattisgarh Government said on Thursday that schools will remain closed in view of the corona virus epidemic in the state. A government spokesperson said that the decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel (Bhupesh Baghel). According to the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the state governments can take a decision about the reopening of schools after October 15 . An official said that the state cabinet decided that schools would remain closed in view of the epidemic situation in Chhattisgarh. The cabinet also decided that on November 1 this year, no extravagant ceremony will be organized on the occasion of State Foundation Day (Chhattisgarh Foundation Day) and only state award ceremonies will be held at the Chief Minister’s residence. Apart from this, the Haryana Government is also considering reopening schools from class 6th to 9th across the state. The government is planning to do this so that students can take proper guidance from their teachers. The decision was taken in line with the Centre’s decision to allow schools to resume from October 15.

  • Chief Minister will attend various programs including Swami Atmanand Jayanti on 6 October

    On 6th October, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will attend various programs from the Chief Minister’s residence in the capital through video conferencing. According to the scheduled program, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will attend the Swami Atmanand Jayanti program organized at Patan in Durg district from 12 noon to 1 pm and transfer the amount to beneficiaries under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana from 1 pm to 1.10 pm. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will launch Peacock Lightning App from 1.10 pm to 1.20 pm thereafter. He will perform bhumi pujan and inauguration of development and construction works under Surguja district at 1.25 pm. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will launch Narva Development Scheme 2020-21 from 5 pm to 6 pm. He will then attend the Swami Atmanand Smriti National Webinar program organized by Vivekananda Vidyapeeth Kota Raipur from 6 pm to 6.30 pm. 

  • Government will provide all possible help to the forest based industry in the state: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

    Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that the state government will provide all possible help to entrepreneurs for setting up forest-based industries in the forested areas of Chhattisgarh. He has called upon the entrepreneurs of the state to come forward for this. The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was holding discussions with industrialists and office bearers of various industrial organizations in his residence office today in a meeting to set up forest-based industrial units in the state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government should extend all possible support for the establishment of forest-based industrial units in the state for proper exploitation of the rich forest wealth in the state and through this to connect the local people with employment. 

     The Chief Minister said that 44 percent of Chhattisgarh’s state is forest covered. There is an immense potential for horticultural production with the availability of abundant medicinal and minor forest produce here. He said that the establishment of industrial units related to forest produce and horticulture produce will boost the economic development of the state and open new doors of employment for the people of Vananchal. 

     Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that the government is making efforts to improve the economic condition of the people of Vananchal and to connect them with employment. In this direction, the Community Forest Resource Charter letter is being handed over to the local community in the forest areas. He said that recently the people of 1300 Vananchal villages in the state have been given the right to consume more than 5 lakh hectares of forest land by the state government. He also said that we have encouraged planting of fruitful plants instead of timber plants, changing the old policy of plantation rains in forest areas. This year more than 86 lakh forest plants and fruit plants have been planted in the forest areas, so that the local people can benefit from it. The Chief Minister said that its objective is to protect the forests with the participation of the local people and to connect the people of Vananchal with livelihood activities.

    Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate a new version of ‘More Electricity App’ from his residence office on October 05 at 6.30 pm. This app, created by the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company, will provide better facilities to all categories of electricity consumers in the state. Many new features have been added to the new version of the Peacock Lightning App using new technology. The program will be attended by Mr. Subrata Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Power Companies, Mr. Harsh Gautam, Managing Director and other senior officials. 

     With the new version of the Peacock electricity app, electricity consumers will get rid of the power office for the electricity related works. Any consumer can download this app for free by visiting the Google Play Store and can avail more than 16 types of electricity related services at any time from home. This facility is completely free. The power company management has appealed to consumers to get maximum benefits of free public interest peacock electricity app.

  • Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will perform Bhoomipujan on October 2 at Mahatma Gandhi Horticulture and Forestry University

    On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will perform Bhoomipujan through video conferencing of Mahatma Gandhi Horticulture and Forestry University to be built at a cost of Rs 55 crore in village Sankra of Patan development block in Durg district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also provide development and construction works worth 253 crore to the Durg district. 

        Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the Bhoomipujan of Mahatma Gandhi University in Patan, as well as a house built at the block headquarters at a cost of Rs. 5 crore 48 lakh for the stay of government officials and employees. Similarly, the construction work of the high-level bridge being constructed at Uphra to Raveli road in Kharun river at a cost of Rs 8 crore 35 lakh and the high-level bridge to be constructed at Khamharia Nala in Abhanpur-Tarrighat Patan road in Khamaria Nala and the cooperative bank There will also be inauguration-bhoomi pujan of works costing Rs 77 crore 28 lakh in the branch and patan.

From 6.50 km forelane construction work is included. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will unveil the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in Bhilai, as well as perform Bhumi Pujan and inaugurate 30 works in Bhilai Municipal Corporation area. Which includes the inauguration of Rs. 12 crore 22 lakh and the Bhoomi Poojan of Rs. 25 crore 74 lakh. 

  • President Kovind must not sign farm bills, says Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel

    Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday urged President Ram Nath Kovind to not sign the agriculture reform bills that were recently cleared in the Rajya Sabha, saying the Centre is misleading farmers of the country.

    We urge the President not to sign the farm bills that were passed in Parliament in an unconstitutional manner. We also demand that the NDA government takes back these black legislations and ensure ‘one nation, one market and one price’,” Bhupesh Baghel said, according to news agency ANI.

    The Congress leader also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet ministers for “misleading farmers”. “PM Modi, his cabinet colleagues and BJP leaders are saying that farmers can now sell their agriculture produce anywhere. I want to ask them: when were farmers not allowed to sell their produces as per their wish? They’re misleading farmers,” the chief minister said.

    On September 20, the Rajya Sabha passed the two key farm bills – Farmer’s Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020. During the agriculture reform bills debate, the upper house witnessed ruckus as several opposition parties raised a strong objection.

  • committed to protect the interests of farmers, poor and villagers: Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today made online payment of 8 crore 02 lakh rupees in the form of fourth installment to 83 thousand 809 gopalakas and cow dung vendors in the accounts of the concerned directly through the video conferencing. This amount of the fourth installment has been made in lieu of purchase of 4 lakh one thousand 475 quintal dung purchased in 3122 Gothanas of the state from September 1 to September 15. A total of Rs 20 crore 72 lakh has been paid so far under this scheme. Maximum benefit of the scheme is being provided to the poor, landless and cow owners of the state. 

     Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said in his address on the occasion that the state government was fulfilling its promise. Protection of interests of farmers, poor and laborers is our commitment. He said that we have started many innovative schemes for the betterment of farmers and poor people of the state, besides fulfilling the promise of waiving paddy, procuring paddy, irrigation tax waiver, reduction of electricity bill. Efforts are being made to improve the economic condition of farmers and villagers through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Yojana and Godhan Nyaya Yojana. On this occasion, the Chief Minister, while referring to the three ordinances related to agriculture by the Central Government, said that these three laws are not in the interest of farmers and common people. This will affect the livelihood of farmers, agricultural laborers as well as common people. There will be huge losses due to the introduction of hoarding, contact farming and private market.

     The Chief Minister said that the government is fulfilling the promise of payment of funds to the beneficiaries in 15 days under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. So far an amount of Rs 20 crore 72 lakh has been given in lieu of cow dung purchased in the last four fortnight. Due to this, the poor villagers and livestock farmers are getting economic benefits. The Chief Minister said that at present, thirty thousand quintal vermi compost fertilizer has been produced in Gouthans, its quantity will increase further in the coming time. Arrangements will also be made for marketing of vermi manure. He said that the goal of building Gothan in all Gram Panchayats and cow dung in all Gothanas should be arranged.
