Chhattisgarh state topped in providing facilities to migrant workers during lockdown
Chhattisgarh has been the top state in the country in providing facilities to the migrant workers who returned during the lockdown. This conclusion came out in a survey conducted by the Interference Survey Statistics and Research Foundation (ISSRF). It is noteworthy that on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, rapid steps were taken to provide various kinds of facilities to the migrant workers in the state and many labor-friendly decisions were taken.
The Interference Survey and Statistics Foundation conducted a survey in six major migrant workers’ returning states of Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Which focused on various basic facilities including livelihood, education, health provided to migrant workers during lockdown.
Quarantine facility was provided to 100 per cent migrant laborers returned to Chhattisgarh, 97.80 per cent migrant laborers were given free and subsidized ration as per eligibility, similarly LPG connections, cash assistance, agriculture and MNREGA employment and agricultural loans to laborer families. Facilities provided like Chhattisgarh ranks first among surveyed states in providing free LPG connections to workers.
The survey was conducted in 99 gram panchayats of Bilaspur, Dantewada, Jashpur, Mahasamund and Rajnandgaon. Which includes more than five hundred thousand migrant workers. The survey conducted in Chhattisgarh includes 28 in Bilaspur district, 15 in Dantewada, 20 in Jashpur, 19 in Mahasamund and 17 in Gramnandgaon. These gram panchayats were surveyed from 30 June to 28 July.
According to the survey, workers in Chhattisgarh can be divided into two categories. Workers engaged in non-agricultural work in the first category, who are 52.98 percent skilled and in the second category iron and welding, 40.43 percent skilled in fabrication work. Chhattisgarh accounts for one third of the skilled workforce. 63.94 percent of construction workers from Chhattisgarh are skilled in construction cutting work. -

State Foundation Day in Chhattisgarh will start from November 1
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the Government of Chhattisgarh is going to launch an innovative scheme for distribution of fortified rice from next November, State Establishment Day for the supply of essential nutritional elements in food and control of malnutrition. This scheme of distribution of fortified rice containing iron and vitamins will start as a pilot project in Kondagaon district of the state. The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, in his budget speech for the year 2020-21, announced the launch of the scheme. For this, a budget provision of Rs 5 crore 80 lakh has also been made by the state government.
It is worth noting that fortified rice contains a mixture of fortified rice kernels (FRK) containing iron, vitamin B-12 and folic acid. Which will prove to be very helpful in the control of malnutrition with the supply of essential nutritious elements to the people. The distribution of this rice will be done under the Public Distribution System (PDS) and other welfare schemes in Kondagaon district. The rice will be distributed according to the criteria set by the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSI).
All rice will be fortified and distributed in Kondagaon district under PDS and other welfare schemes. Two rice mills have been tasked with rice blading for preparing fortified rice. In Kondagaon district, one lakh 11 thousand 217 ration cards under National Food Security Act and 23 thousand 204 ration cards under the state scheme, in this way, one lakh 34 thousand 421 ration cards are popular. The total annual allocation of Chandwal in this district is 60 thousand 188 tonnes, of which PDS is 55 thousand 068 tonnes of Chandwal and the annual allocation of welfare schemes, mid-day meal, supplementary nutritional food etc. is 5 thousand 120 tonnes.

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has said that all possible help will be given by the state government to promote poultry industries in the state. He said that there is a lot of potential in the state of poultry and fisheries business related to farming and farming. Association officials told the Chief Minister that there are 90 percent small poultry farms in the state. He has suffered a lot due to the Corona crisis. If the electricity duty is exempted by the state government, it will give a big support to the poultry businessmen. The Chief Minister assured to consider this proposal seriously. With regard to increasing the acreage of maize and soybean used as poultry grains, the Chief Minister said that if the consumption of maize and soybean increases in poultry industries, then an initiative will be taken to increase the acreage of these crops.

Chhattisgarh CM Writes To Chief Justice Menon To Set Up Fast Track Courts For Trial Of Sexual Offences
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court PR Ramchandra Menon, requesting him to notify the fast track courts in all the districts for speedy hearing and disposal of cases related to sexual offences.
He has further provided all the necessary support from the state government’s side.
“Sexual offences against women and children are a matter of grave concern in the country and need immediate attention. Despite the fact that adequate laws have been made on the above subject, still, these kind of heinous crimes are not decreasing in number. Additionally, getting delayed justice is also a matter of concern,” Chief Minister mentioned in the letter.
In cases concerning sexual offences against women and children, there’s an urgent need for prompt consideration for the victims of sexual offences to get speedy justice, and the accused to be punished with extreme punishment in the state court and it is our responsibility to ensure that, added Baghel.
He mentioned in his letter that the required number of fast track court, for hearing and disposal of cases related to sexual offences, be notified in all the districts of the state, in which the time period and time limit of hearing of such cases (which is prescribed to be done) in day to day. The state government has affirmed to provide all the necessary cooperation concerning this matter. Distributed highest number of forestland pattas in country after coming to power: CM Bhupesh Baghel
Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 11 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday claimed the state government has distributed the highest number of forestland rights certificates in the country after coming to power in 2018.
“It was an injustice to reject the forest rights claims, hence, when the new government came to power, action was taken to rectify this situation. Out of the cancelled claims, more than 40,000 people were given individual leases and 46,000 community leases… through 4.87 lakh pattas, lease of 51 lakh acres of land has been given, which is the highest in the country,” said Baghel during the 11th episode of Lokvaani (a radio programme) on Sunday.
sharing his views on the topic “Nava Chhattisgarh: Hamar Vikas-Mor Kahani”, he added the land under these forest rights pattas are now being utilised for farming, and in animal husbandry and fisheries sectors.
“Return of land to tribal farmers in Lohandiguda has paved the path for setting up 200 food parks. Land for 101 food parks has already been earmarked,” said an official release, adding the state government’s Amcho Bastar programme has also begun to yield promising results. “People of Bastar have created their own brand of tamarind, cashew and coffee.”
The chief minister added that the state government’s aim is to ensure justice for the farmers, and give them a life of dignity and self-dependence.
“For this, the state government procures paddy at Rs 2,500 per quintal, has waived agricultural loan and irrigation tax, given concession in electricity bills, while free electricity supply to farmers from the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories,” stated the official release. -

Similarly, Shri Ajit Kumar Jangde of Bethia village of Jaijpur, Tehsil of District Janjgir-Champa, told that his 14-year-old son, Lucky Jangde, has developed a disease named Major thalassemia. With the help of 14 lakh rupees received from this scheme, his son’s bone marrow has been transplanted. Mr. Soni and Mr. Jangade treated their son in CMC Hospital Vellore. Both of them thanked the Chief Minister for the help he received from the ‘Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme’.
