  • Government moves fast towards universal healthcare to sick people reaching hospital in Chhattisgarh

    The Government of Chhattisgarh has taken several new initiatives in the last two years to increase access to health services, provide quality treatment and provide free screening, treatment and medicines to the needy. The Health Department, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, has ensured free access to health facilities through Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Special Health Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Haat-Bazar Clinic Scheme and Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme. The needy at the local level are getting quality treatment at the local level only due to continuous upgradation of facilities and resources in medical college hospitals, district hospitals, civil hospitals, community health centers, primary health centers and sub health centers.

    Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme started in the state from January 1 this year, cashless treatment of priority and Antyodaya ration card holders families up to five lakh rupees. The scheme covers 56 lakh financially vulnerable families. All government hospitals and contracted private hospitals can be treated under this scheme with ration card and another identity card. In the Dr Khabchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme, other ration card holders families are entitled to treatment up to Rs 50 thousand. In total, about 65 lakh families of the state are under the scheme. So far, three and a quarter lakh patients have been treated under the scheme.

    Due to the introduction of chemotherapy and dialysis facility in many district hospitals, treatment of serious diseases is now being done locally. This is saving people time, labor and money to go out for treatment. This facility has proved to be a boon for the people during the transition to the global epidemic corona. The closure of public transport services has saved the lives of specialist health facilities provided at the local level. Currently, free chemotherapy of cancer patients is being done through longevity wards in nine district hospitals of the state. At the same time, free dialysis facility is also being operated in five district hospitals under Jeevan Dhara National Dialysis Program. Both these facilities will be expanded in all district hospitals. Besides providing necessary medical facilities to the citizens by the Health Department, programs related to public health and family welfare are also being implemented seriously. In the year 2019-20, five lakh 85 thousand children have been fully immunized for up to one year. During this period, all vaccines have been ensured to reach 94 percent children of the state. This is the highest coverage of vaccination in the state so far.

    Lack of human resources is constantly being overcome through new recruits to strengthen health services. In the last two years, 541 new doctors have been recruited. At the same time 512 MBBS And 132 pg. Contracted doctors have also been posted in government hospitals across the state. Along with this, the recruitment of 2100 regular and 3349 contract officers and employees at various posts in the Health Department is also under process.

    Dial 112 in Chhattisgarh will now be able to solve any type of problems including selling paddy of farmers. Taking a major decision in the interest of the farmers of the state, the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has instructed to connect the service of Dial 112 with the farmers for quick diagnosis of the problems of the farmers. This service will be provided to the farmers till this paddy procurement season. Dial 112 services are now being provided to the people in emergency. The Chief Minister has instructed the Collector and Superintendents of Police to promptly diagnose problems received from farmers in Dial 112.

    In case of registration of the farmers of the state, entry of acreage, lack of acreage, any kind of error in Girdawari, any problem in selling paddy and farmers need any kind of financial assistance, now they can give information by calling dial 112 . Their problems will be quickly diagnosed through dial 112. For this, instructions have been given to all district collectors and superintendents of police. The complaints received from the farmers in Dial 112 and the action taken on them will be reviewed every week by the Chief Secretary.

  • Revenue cases are being resolved at local level due to Bhakhara getting Tehsil status

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel gave the status of full new Tehsil to the Sub-Tehsil of Kurud Development Block in the last few days on 11 November 2020. The state government decentralized power in view of the troubles of the local people, under which Bhakhara Upatahseel was promoted as a tehsil. With this, the villagers of Bhakhara region will not have to cover the distance to Kurud for their revenue cases and works. Facilities will be made available locally to the 52 Gram Panchayats and 28 Mata villagers in 73 villages of Bhakhara to be made Tehsils.   • Purchase of 52 minor forest produce now in Chhattisgarh at support price

    In keeping with the interest of the forest dwellers of the state, as per the intention of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the State Government has increased the purchase of 38 minor forest plants in Chhattisgarh from 31 to 38 on the support price as well as 14 minor forest produce under the support price fixed by the Union. An important decision has been taken for the purchase. Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar said that in this way, the number of minor forest produce has been increased from 7 to 52 in Chhattisgarh for purchase on support price in about two years.
    It is worth mentioning that out of 38 small forest produce raised from 31 under the minimum support price fixed by the state government in Chhattisgarh, 7 new minor forest produce Kusumi seed, Reetha fruit (dry), Shikakai palli (dry), Satavar root (dry), Cashew nut. Kernels, Malkangani seeds and mahul leaves are included. According to the fixed support price, these include Kusumi seed Rs. 23, Reetha fruit (dry) Rs. 14, Shikakai palli (dry) Rs. 50, Satavar root (dry) Rs. 107, Cashew kernels Rs. 90, Malkangani seed Rs. 100 and Mahul leaf Rs. 15 each.
