  • Chief Minister celebrates the first morning of New Year with labourers

    Bhupesh Baghel celebrated the first morning of New Year 2021 by sharing sweets with the labourers at Chawdi. Labourers were overjoyed to see Chief Minister with them. Chief Minister shared sweets with them and gifted them shawls with hearty New Year greetings. 

    On the occasion, Chief Minister said that labourers have shaped Chhattisgarh with their hard work. Many of our labourers were stranded in other states. We ensured that our fellow citizens labourers got help. We coordinated with other states and made arrangements for their safe return, quarantine, and treatment. I am happy that we could help not only the labourers of Chhattisgarh but also those of other states who were stranded in Chhattisgarh. They were provided food and transport facility. Chief Minister said that ‘shramveer’ are our strength. It is due to the participation of labourers, we managed to take the development of state to a new heights. 

    said that through various schemes of the Labor Department, we are working for the welfare of labourers. Foundation of state’s development is strong because of the participation and contribution of farmers and workers. It is our top priority to take care of their interests and to work for their economic growth opportunities. He said that English Medium School Scheme was started to ensure that children of laborers also have access to English medium education. So far 52 schools have been opened. This year 100 schools will be started. Mobile clinics, Dai Didi clinics have been commenced for healthcare. On this occasion, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Bhilai MLA Shri Devendra Yadav also address the labourers at Chaavdi. Labourers and daily wagers were overjoyed to have Chief Minister among them. On this occasion Bhilai MLA and Mayor Shri Devendra Yadav, former MLA Smt Pratima Chandrakar and other public representatives were present. Meanwhile, former Divisional Commissioner Mr. TC Mahawar, IG Mr. Vivekananda Sinha, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SP Mr. Prashant Thakur and other officers were also present.

  • Bhupesh Baghel spoke to PM Modi on the phone, saying – FCI will not lift the paddy otherwise

    Bhupesh Baghel government has become active in Chhattisgarh to deal with the current crisis on paddy purchase.     FCI has not yet picked up paddy from procurement centers

The Central Food and Public Distribution Department is yet to issue its order to FCI. Because of this, problems are increasing in Chhattisgarh. Due to the lack of permission from the Central Government, at present the situation of jam is being created due to the absence of paddy at the procurement centers.

    21 lakh 52 thousand farmers will be affected
    He informed the Prime Minister about the problem and said that due to delay in paddy picking and milling, the stored crop is likely to be spoiled. Due to the impact of paddy procurement, the livelihood of 21 lakh 52 thousand registered farmers of the state is going to be adversely affected. Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed positive attitude in conversation with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He assured to take appropriate action in this regard.

    Bhupesh Baghel also wrote a letter to PM

  • Farmers in Vananchal are now selling paddy near their village

    The Chhattisgarh government has ensured that there is no problem in selling paddy to the farmers. Farmers had to go to sell paddy many miles away from their fields and village, but now under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, about 250 new paddy procurement centers have been set up for the convenience of farmers. Farmers have also been provided the facility of selling paddy near their village in the forest areas of the state.
    The new paddy procurement center in Bastar district has brought great relief to the farmers. The Chhattisgarh government has this year established paddy procurement centers in Manganar and Madhota as well as forest areas like Koleng and Erpund. Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy in Chhattisgarh. The state of Chhattisgarh has been awarded many times by the Central Government for excellent work in the field of agriculture. The effect of the revolutionary changes happening in the agricultural fields in the state is also being seen in the Vananchal of Bastar and the forest dwellers of the area dependent on forest produce are also turning towards farming. Koleng, which is situated in the middle of Kanger Valley, and Erpund and surrounding farmers in Maar region are also changing their fortunes and the picture of the area from farming. For the convenience of such farmers, the Chhattisgarh government established a Paddy Procurement Center in these areas, so that they can sell paddy around them. Earlier, farmers of Chhindgur and Kandanar, Mundaguda of Kolleng area used to come to Darbha Paddy Earnings Center, 25 km away. At the same time farmers of village Harrakodar, Pichikkodar, Bodli, Malewahi etc. of Erpund area used to sell paddy in Binta procurement center. Along with this, another paddy procurement center has been established in the Ghotia committee in the plains area at Madhota, about 15 km away and a new paddy procurement center has been set up at Manganar, about ten km under Karpavand committee. In Ghotia, about 800 farmers had earlier registered for selling paddy. Now, with the establishment of paddy procurement center at Madhota, the number of farmers has also reduced by almost half. Along with Madhota, farmers of Jharatarai, Khotlapal, Chitalwar and Rotma are selling their paddy. This has provided dual benefits to these farmers. Apart from being a paddy procurement center nearby, there has also been relief from overcrowding and disaster. Karpavand committee also used to sell about one thousand farmers in the past, but with the establishment of paddy procurement center in Manganar, the number of registered farmers there has been reduced to almost half. The farmers of Manganar, Khotlapal, Belputi and Tongkongera have benefited from the establishment of paddy procurement centers here. Among the newly established centers, 11659.6 quintal in Manganar, 9237.6 quintal in Madhota, 382.4 quintal in Konleg and 624.8 quintal in Erpund have been purchased till Tuesday 29 December.

Now, with the introduction of these new Agricultural Credit Service Cooperative Societies, it has become very convenient for farmers to sell their paddy and purchase edible seeds. New Agricultural Credit Service Cooperative Societies include Village Dindori, Masni, Saket, Sochapur, Silatra, Nawagaon (Gh.), Hathnikala, Semarkona, Dhangaon, Rambod, Sawan, Raitrakala, Dasrangpur, Khutera, Khudia, Padiyyan, Kirana, Hinchhapur, Pathargarhi, Includes Bearkhandera, Geedha, Ghuma and Lagra. The state government has started 66 new Agricultural Credit Service Cooperative Societies to enable farmers to easily buy their crops at the centers to sell and purchase edible seeds.
