Bhupesh Baghel has said that Kodo-Kutki will also be declared the minimum support price from this year. The announcement was made by the Chief Minister at the general meeting held in Bijapur. He approved setting up of procurement centers for paddy procurement at Tongpalli and Bhadrakali.

He said that along with the development of Bastar’s culture, civilization, people of this region, education, health and sports will be promoted with the highest priority. He said that there is no shortage of talent in Bastar, only need to be given opportunity. The government is committed to provide all possible efforts and opportunities for the betterment of Bastarites. He said that to give rights to local people in water, forest and land, forest rights community and individual pattas are being given by the government. The government is giving the right to land to the landless people in Bastar. He said that power has become a part of the basic needs of the people in today’s era. The work of providing electricity in this area is going on a war footing. Closed schools have been restarted by the government. Local youth have been given employment opportunities. The amount of DMF is being used for education, health, livelihood. To fight malnutrition, the government launched the Suchitran Abhiyan, which has benefitted more than 77 thousand children. 52 types of minor forest produce are being purchased with minimum support price. Mahua, tamarind were also collected by villagers in the coronas. In Bijapur, more than 8 thousand people are benefiting from bamboo-related employment business. Connecting Bastarites with employment business and making them self-reliant is the priority of the government.

Bhupesh Baghel handed over development and construction works costing Rs 328 crore to the residents during his stay in Bijapur, including the bhumi pujan of 72 works costing Rs 241 crore 75 lakh and 54 works costing Rs 86 crore 74 lakh.

Bhupesh Baghel will attend various events organized on 12 January in Durg-Bhilai. Chief Minister Baghel will leave Police Ground Helipad Raipur at 11.30 am. They will reach Risali District Durg at 11.55 am and will inaugurate Risali Municipal Corporation new office building and distribute pattas under Rajiv Gandhi Ashraya Yojana.
The Chief Minister will depart from Risali and reach District Durg Jamul at 1.20 pm.
