    Manju Mishra’s painting exhibition of Bhilai is attracting art lovers of Raipur.   • Bhilai’s team also reached semi-final of Kayastha Premier Cricket League, final on Sunday

    Bhilai’s team has also reached the semi-finals of the Kayastha Premier Cricket League. The finals will be played on Sunday. Two matches were played on Friday.     UNDER Smart City-Smart Traffic campaign Traffic Police, Durg launched apps to achieve the objectives of the campaign. The smart cards are being issued with completing certain formalities from Traffic Office, Gurudwara Road, Nehru Ngar, Bhilai in accordance of new rules of Motor Vehicle Act. He pointed out the issuance of Smart (Yellow) Card will confirm verification of vehicles, mobile number, address and other details would be in quick reach of police and it will also help in ensuring the proper implementation of traffic safety scheme. It will also be a major part of Traffic Control System. There would hardly be the requirement of RC book, insurance paper of vehicle, license if one is carrying smart card with him. It will also be considered as an authentic document during checking and traffic police officials also clear the matter on-spot. It will also curtail effectively unnecessary dispute. The people could opt for getting issued the smart card by sending WhatsApp post regarding insurance, registration and driving license and a photograph the mobile number 7869696100.   • 50 thousand houses of Bhilai have got tap connection, water of Amrit Mission will be available soon

    Bhilai Municipal Corporation has installed a tap connection in 50 thousand houses living in Bhilai area. Poor and helpless people are also getting taps in their houses. Their old dreams were also fulfilled and those who had been yearning for every drop of water, today the tap connection has been installed in their homes. This dream of poor and ordinary people has been realized through the efforts of Mayor Devendra Yadav.

    Mayor Yadav has taken great initiative for public interest. Mayor Devendra Yadav has launched a new scheme for people who could not tap their homes. Bhilai Municipal Corporation has started the work of providing tap connection for them at just Rs 100. This has happened for the first time in the history of the state and corporation. Earlier, six thousand rupees had to be deposited for tap connection. Due to not having a position to deposit six thousand rupees simultaneously, people could not get the tap installed.

    After seeing this problem of the people, Mayor Devendra Yadav took the initiative and directed the officials to provide a tap connection for 100 rupees, so that every person can get a tap in their house. As a result, tap connections have been installed in 50 thousand houses of the city.

    According to the survey report, there is a demand for new tap connections in 50,580 houses of the city. Water meters are being installed in many houses with tap connections.   • CSVTU extends online form filling date till 7th

    Technical University Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSVTU) Bhilai once again extended the April-May 2020 semester exam form filling dates for three days. Now students can fill the exam form through TCS portal till January 7. Here it is noteworthy that first the last date for filling the semester exam was December 31 and it was extended till January 2. Now again giving one more chance it has extended it till January 7. As such this will be the last opportunity to fill the form for students of courses of April-May 2020 semester. After that they will not be given any kind of concession. Due to prevailing covid-19 pandemic technical university has given this relief to the students once again. CSVTU has provided this information by issuing a notification in the university website today. CSVTU Registrar KK Verma told that except BE 8th semester, B. Pharmacy 8th semester, Diploma engineering 6th semester, MBA 4th semester and B. Architecture 10th semester students this facility will be available for students of all the other semester of April-May 2020 exam. While students appearing for the November –December 2020 semester exam can fill their exam form online in TCS portal from January 11. This is for the second time that technical university for students of other semester exams of all courses has extended the date. There will be the last opportunity when they will be able to fill the form. Students have to fill the exam form in online mode by visiting TCS portal. CSVTU issues guidelines for students regarding examination from time to time.   • Preparation for illegal plotting was being done in Smriti Nagar Road, Corporation team reached the spot and took action

  • League competition in World Women’s Football Day to be held in Raipur from January 21

    Raipur District Football Association is going to conduct Seven-a-Side Football League competition from January 21 to 24 in Raipur. Preparations for this have been started. The competition is being held on January 24 to commemorate World Women’s Football Day. According to the guide line of All India Football Federation, the competition is being conducted under the direction of Chhattisgarh Football Association.

    In this, eight teams of girls (women) are being admitted. Registration of all teams is mandatory. The competition will be conducted in 10 to 14 years, 15 to 20 years and senior categories. Matches will be played in league mode. The final match will take place on 24 January on the day of World Women’s Football Day. Also, World Women’s Day will be celebrated. Raipur District President Mushtaq Ali Pradhan told that the calendar of the match will be released after meeting with the women’s team on Sunday.

    He informed that right now the club championship matches are going on every Saturday and Sunday. The matches of January 23 and 24 will be carried forward. Also from the last week of January, the State Women’s Football League is being organized by the Chhattisgarh Football Association, in which eight club teams from the state will participate. The competition will be held in Raipur and Bhilai.

    The winning and runners up teams will participate in the National Women’s League. The National Football League has started in the last three years. For the first time, two club teams from Chhattisgarh will participate. The All India Football Federation has made it mandatory for all state associations to have a state women’s league. Preparations for World Women’s Football Day are in full swing.

  • Chief Minister celebrates the first morning of New Year with labourers

    Bhupesh Baghel celebrated the first morning of New Year 2021 by sharing sweets with the labourers at Chawdi. Labourers were overjoyed to see Chief Minister with them. Chief Minister shared sweets with them and gifted them shawls with hearty New Year greetings.

Many of our labourers were stranded in other states. We ensured that our fellow citizens labourers got help. We coordinated with other states and made arrangements for their safe return, quarantine, and treatment. I am happy that we could help not only the labourers of Chhattisgarh but also those of other states who were stranded in Chhattisgarh. They were provided food and transport facility. Chief Minister said that ‘shramveer’ are our strength. It is due to the participation of labourers, we managed to take the development of state to a new heights. 

    said that through various schemes of the Labor Department, we are working for the welfare of labourers. Foundation of state’s development is strong because of the participation and contribution of farmers and workers. It is our top priority to take care of their interests and to work for their economic growth opportunities. He said that English Medium School Scheme was started to ensure that children of laborers also have access to English medium education. So far 52 schools have been opened. This year 100 schools will be started. Mobile clinics, Dai Didi clinics have been commenced for healthcare. On this occasion, Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Bhilai MLA Shri Devendra Yadav also address the labourers at Chaavdi. Labourers and daily wagers were overjoyed to have Chief Minister among them.
