India marked Army Day with profound respect as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh bowed to the indomitable spirit of its soldiers. Their tributes painted a vivid picture of the jawans’ heroic deeds and unwavering commitment to the nation.

In a stirring post, PM Modi lauded the army personnel for their extraordinary bravery in the face of adversity. He noted that their sacrifices light the path for India’s progress toward becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.

Rajnath Singh, addressing the forces, highlighted the soldiers’ role as the nation’s first line of defense. He commended their valor in countering threats and ensuring territorial integrity, from the icy heights of Siachen to the deserts of Rajasthan.

The day-long events included impressive military displays, drone shows, and seminars on modern warfare. Recalling the legacy of Lt Gen K.M. Cariappa, the celebrations reaffirmed the army’s evolution into a world-class force equipped with cutting-edge technology.

Public participation surged with citizens sharing stories of local heroes on social media, amplifying the leaders’ messages. Schools and colleges organized essay contests and debates, embedding patriotism in the youth.

Amid global uncertainties, these honors reinforce India’s military prowess and the unbreakable bond between the armed forces and civilians. The PM and Defence Minister’s salutations underscore a renewed commitment to welfare schemes like Agnipath and modernization drives.

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has emphasized the inclusive nature of the organization, stating that individuals from all communities, including Muslims and Christians, are welcome.…

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has emphasized the inclusive nature of the organization, stating that individuals from all communities, including Muslims and Christians, are welcome. Bhagwat made these remarks during the inauguration of a two-day lecture series, ‘100 Years of Sangh Journey: New Horizons,’ held at PES University Auditorium in Bengaluru, marking the start of centenary celebrations for the RSS, which was founded in 1925.

Bhagwat traced the RSS’s origins to a need for social unity and national reconstruction during a period of historical division and invasions in India. He highlighted the crucial role of Hindus in preserving the nation’s ancient identity and values. The RSS chief clarified that the organization is not a political entity, focusing instead on societal strengthening and supporting policies beneficial to the nation without formal political affiliations. He also urged citizens to take personal responsibility for maintaining societal discipline, harmony, and mutual respect.

Addressing queries about the RSS’s lack of registration, Bhagwat explained its historical context, noting it began operations in 1925 during British rule and saw no necessity to register with the colonial government. He further defended the organization’s legal standing, mentioning its three bans post-Independence, all of which were subsequently lifted by court rulings, validating its legal existence. Bhagwat asserted that the RSS operates within the Indian Constitution, negating the need for formal registration, drawing a parallel to unregistered entities like Hindu Dharma itself.

Bhagwat reiterated the Sangh’s inclusive stance, welcoming anyone who identifies with ‘Bharat Mata.’ He explained that while the RSS is rooted in Hindu society, people of all faiths, including Muslims and Christians, can participate in its local branches, or ‘shakhas,’ provided they approach with a spirit of unity and belonging. The primary mission of the RSS, according to Bhagwat, is to organize and strengthen Hindu society to foster a prosperous and self-reliant India, aiming to share global knowledge of Dharma for peace and happiness. He concluded by stating that once this objective is achieved, the Sangh’s work will be complete.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has clarified the organization’s stance on inclusivity, stating that Muslims, Christians, and individuals of all faiths are welcome to join the Sangh, provided they…

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has clarified the organization’s stance on inclusivity, stating that Muslims, Christians, and individuals of all faiths are welcome to join the Sangh, provided they identify as ‘children of Bharat Mata’ and part of the broader Hindu society. Addressing a lecture series in Bengaluru, Bhagwat emphasized that the RSS is built on unity, transcending caste and creed.

Initially stating that ‘only Hindus are allowed’ and that no specific caste or religion is permitted, Bhagwat quickly elaborated. He explained that while the Sangh’s core ideology is Hindu, individuals from other denominations can participate as long as they set aside their distinct religious identities. He asserted that the organization’s doors have never been exclusionary, with people from various backgrounds attending ‘Shakhas’ (RSS gatherings) without their affiliations being counted or questioned.

Bhagwat also addressed the Sangh’s historical and legal standing. He questioned the expectation of registration with the British government and highlighted that the organization’s multiple bans, each later overturned by courts, affirmed its legal existence. He maintained that the RSS operates within the Indian Constitution and does not require registration, drawing parallels to the un-registered status of Hinduism itself.

The RSS leader outlined the organization’s ultimate goal: to unite and strengthen Hindu society to foster a prosperous India capable of sharing its ‘dharma knowledge’ globally. He reiterated the Sangh’s unwavering respect for the Indian national flag, the ‘Tiranga Dhwaj,’ asserting its primacy over any other symbol.

For Bhagwat, the essence of RSS unity lies not in formal membership or religious labels, but in a shared dedication to the nation and the recognition of a common familial bond among all who consider India their motherland.

A special commemorative coin of Rs 100 was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 1st to mark the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). This is the first instance that the image of ‘Bharat Mata’ has appeared on Indian currency. The coin depicts RSS volunteers in their uniform, bowing before Bharat Mata. Prime Minister Modi hailed the event as both proud and historic. The coin also features the RSS’s motto, ‘Rashtriya Swaha, Idan Rashtraya, Idan Mama,’ signifying dedication to the nation. Accompanying the coin was a postage stamp showcasing RSS volunteers participating in the 1963 Republic Day parade. However, the event faced strong criticism from opposition parties, with accusations of the government glorifying the RSS and promoting a sectarian agenda. The Congress party raised objections, highlighting the RSS’s lack of involvement in the freedom struggle, while the CPI (Marxist) denounced the coin and stamp as an insult to the Constitution, alleging the RSS uses the ‘Bharat Mata’ image to symbolize Hindutva. The CPI (M) also questioned the historical accuracy of RSS participation in the 1963 parade. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh cited Sardar Patel’s letter from 1948 where he held RSS responsible for Gandhiji’s assassination. Prime Minister Modi, meanwhile, emphasized the RSS’s dedication to ‘nation first’ and its support for freedom fighters. The RSS was founded in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar with the goals of promoting cultural awareness and service.

The 15-day residential training camp organized by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Jharkhand Province, concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi. The chief speaker at the closing ceremony, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika Chitra Tai Joshi, emphasized that Bharat Mata is the life force of the nation, fulfilling all physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs. She urged everyone to dedicate every moment and action of their lives to Bharat Mata.

Remembering the 300th birth anniversary of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, she praised Ahilyabai as a revered queen in Indian history who set an unparalleled example of service, righteousness, and just governance. Ahilyabai’s renovation of sacred sites like Kashi Vishwanath, Prayagraj, Rameshwaram, Somnath, and Mathura revived the nation’s cultural soul. Her initiatives for women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance are deeply inspiring for today’s generation. Paying tribute to the sacrifice of Rani Durgavati, Chitra Tai highlighted how Rani Durgavati bravely fought against foreign invaders, sacrificing her life to protect her motherland. Her life is an immortal symbol of the courage, self-respect, and patriotism of women, and we must draw inspiration from her ideals to serve the nation.

Chief Guest Nirmal Kaur, a retired Director General of Police, lauded the discipline, energy, and service spirit of the Sevika’s, stating that such camps provide the nation with dedicated, character-driven, and patriotic citizens. The camp received guidance from senior all-India level workers Sunita Haldekar, Chitra Tai Joshi, and Nita Ba. Field contact head Padma Devi provided continuous support to the Sevika’s. Discussions and practices on topics like patriotism, civic duty, social harmony, the use of indigenous products, and environmental protection were held in the camp. The chief instructor’s responsibility was fulfilled by Manu Shri.

On June 6th, the Sevika’s conducted a parade in full uniform through the town, which was welcomed by the general public with flower showers. This procession started from the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir premises, passing through Durga Temple, Bus Stand, and concluding back at the premises with great splendor.

The 15-day residential training camp organized by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Jharkhand province, concluded with a grand ceremony at the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi. The closing ceremony was held on Sunday evening in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and dignity. The chief speaker, All India Co-Executive Chitra Tai Joshi, emphasized that Bharat Mata is our life force. She fulfills our physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs. We should dedicate every moment and every action of our lives to Bharat Mata. Remembering Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar on her 300th birth anniversary, Joshi highlighted her as a revered queen of Indian history, who set an unparalleled example of service, righteousness, and just governance. Ahilyabai renovated several sacred pilgrimage sites, including Kashi Vishwanath, Prayagraj, Rameshwaram, Somnath, and Mathura, revitalizing the nation’s cultural spirit. The path she paved for women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance continues to inspire today’s generation. Chitra Tai also recalled the sacrifice of Rani Durgavati, who bravely fought foreign invaders to protect her homeland, sacrificing her life. Her life is an eternal symbol of the courage, self-respect, and patriotism of women’s power. We should draw inspiration from her ideals and move forward on the path of national service. The chief guest of the ceremony, retired Director General of Police Nirmal Kaur, praised the discipline, energy, and spirit of service of the Sevika. She stated that such camps provide the nation with dutiful, virtuous, and patriotic citizens. The program was attended by over 2000 people from various sectors of society, including educational institutions, social organizations, intellectuals, women’s organizations, and the general public. The camp saw participation from 225 Sevika sisters from 20 districts of Jharkhand. The camp aimed to develop discipline, physical strength, patriotism, and cultural values in young women. Every day, the Sevika participated in yoga, exercise, intellectual discussions, songs, and service activities. This residential camp provided comprehensive training on the physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of the Sevika. Approximately 14 teachers and 10 provincial-level officers were constantly present in this training class. The camp received guidance from senior all-India level workers Sunita Haldekar, Chitra Tai Joshi, and Neeta Ba. The area contact chief Padma Devi’s constant presence was available to the Sevika. Discussions and exercises were conducted on topics like patriotism, civic duty, social harmony, the use of indigenous products, and environmental protection. The main teacher’s duty was performed by Manu Shri. On June 6, the Sevika participated in a march in the city, dressed in full uniform, which was taken out as a procession for city tour, which was welcomed by the general public by showering flowers. This procession started from Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir premises and concluded with grandeur at the premises after passing through Durga Mandir and Bus Stand. The program was attended by various dignitaries.
