Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma made headlines by landing in Thiruvananthapuram to champion BJP’s assembly election candidates in Kerala. His timely arrival on Saturday amplifies the party’s drive to challenge the dominance of traditional players in the state.

Sharma joined the nomination events for prominent hopefuls including Kerala BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar (Nemom), V. Muraleedharan (Kazhakkoottam), P.K. Krishnadas (Kattakada), and R. Srilekha (Vattiyoorkavu). In his rallying speech, he called on locals to rally behind these leaders, paving the way for ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Kerala’ under PM Narendra Modi’s guidance.

Emphasizing the candidates’ alignment with public sentiments, Sharma predicted they would usher in an era of efficient administration and growth. ‘Kerala is ready for a paradigm shift,’ he asserted, pointing to the voters’ growing appetite for transformation.

The visit featured a stop at BJP’s Kerala office for homage to ideological icons Deendayal Upadhyaya, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and P. Parameswaran. Preceding this, Sharma performed rituals at the iconic Padmanabhaswamy Temple, praying for the state’s progress and well-being.

Greeted with enthusiasm by party cadres, Sharma’s tour comes as Kerala gears up for polls: nominations close March 23, scrutiny follows on 24th, withdrawals by 26th, and ballots cast on April 9.

This high-profile intervention by a northern CM reflects BJP’s calculated strategy to fortify its base in Kerala, targeting electoral breakthroughs and long-term influence in India’s diverse political landscape.

Marking the solemn occasion of Rani Avantibai Lodhi’s sacrifice anniversary, top politicians from various states united in reverence for the 1857 revolt icon. This Lodhi queen, who led troops against British forces, embodies the essence of bravery and national devotion, prompting widespread homage today.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath led the tributes on social media, describing her as ‘the immortal symbol of national self-respect’ whose leadership and ultimate sacrifice define a heroic era. Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma offered ‘sadar naman’ to the ‘great valiant daughter’ of the freedom movement.

Pankaj Chaudhary, BJP’s UP president and Union minister, remembered her fierce battle: ‘Her dauntless fight and life-offering sacrifice against the English invaders demand eternal gratitude.’ Deputy CM Diya Kumari of Rajasthan termed her a pioneer of the liberation struggle.

Keshav Prasad Maurya, UP’s Deputy CM, portrayed her as the ‘epitome of unmatched valor,’ noting how her exploits continue to motivate patriotism. MP Yogendra Chandoliya detailed her frontline role, sword in hand, defying colonial might for the nation’s honor.

Haryana’s Gaurav Gautam painted a dramatic picture: When India was shackled, Ramgarh’s brave daughter wielded her blade, toppling enemy strongholds before choosing honorable death. ‘Her saga of pride lives in every Indian heart,’ he affirmed.

This collective remembrance underscores Rani Avantibai’s enduring impact. Born into royalty, she ascended to legend by mobilizing an army after her husband’s death, employing guerrilla tactics that terrorized British troops. Captured not, she ended her life on her terms in 1858. In an era of subjugation, her actions fueled the sepoy mutiny’s fire, proving one woman’s resolve could challenge an empire. As modern leaders invoke her name, it reinforces the timeless call to national duty and resilience.

Rajasthan’s political landscape heated up as ex-CM Ashok Gehlot spotlighted his Congress regime’s pivotal role in kickstarting the ambitious Kota-Bundi Greenfield Airport, just hours before its foundation stone is laid.

Speaking from Jaipur, Gehlot detailed how his team secured land allotments and preliminary clearances, laying the groundwork for what promises to be a game-changer for Hadoti. The Saturday event at Shambhupura, graced by Om Birla and Bhajan Lal Sharma, underscores the project’s momentum.

Complementing the airport launch, inaugurations for Navnera and Parvan-Akawad mega water schemes will address long-standing hydration needs in the region.

With a Rs 1,507 crore price tag, the facility features a modern 20,000 sqm terminal, precision-engineered 3,200x45m runway, A-321 parking bays, and seven aprons, handling up to 1,000 passengers during rush hours.

Enhanced flights will supercharge local tourism, trade, and development, connecting Kota-Bundi seamlessly. Gehlot linked it back to Rahul Gandhi’s rally pledge, followed by Congress’s 2021 land grant of 1,250 acres gratis and 2022’s Rs 120 crore for infrastructure shifts.

Blaming Centre’s foot-dragging for a four-year hiatus, he now anticipates rapid progress. Gehlot reminisced about transforming Kota into a tourist magnet via Chambal Riverfront, lambasting BJP’s inaction on its facilities.

Proper riverfront nurturing alongside the airport could elevate Hadoti’s profile, he asserted. High-profile guests including ministers Naidu, Dilawar, Choudhary, and local leaders like MLAs Sandeep Sharma and Kalpana Devi are expected, signaling broad support.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s launch of the HPV vaccination drive from Ajmer signals a new era in India’s battle against cervical cancer. Aimed at eligible teenage girls, the program administers vaccines to prevent human papillomavirus infections, drastically reducing future cancer risks.

Rajasthan wasted no time, conducting 188 sessions on the inaugural day with 1,000 health centers primed for action. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma called on parents to participate actively, positioning the drive as a cornerstone for women’s health empowerment.

According to Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the vaccine—Gardasil-4 in 0.5 ml dosage—targets girls who have turned 14 but not yet 15, given as a single intramuscular injection per health ministry guidelines. In India, where cervical cancer is the second leading cancer for women, this intervention is game-changing.

Over 832,000 girls stand eligible in the state, as noted by Chief Secretary (Health) Gayatri Rathore. National Health Mission’s Dr. Amit Yadav confirmed that only facilities with robust cold chains, trained staff, and digital connectivity were selected. Trained teams, including ASHA workers and verifiers, ensure seamless execution at every vaccination point.

Health officials describe this as a transformative effort to build a stronger preventive shield, protecting adolescent girls and paving the way for a healthier Rajasthan.

From the historic city of Ajmer, PM Narendra Modi launched India’s HPV vaccination drive on Saturday, a game-changer in the battle against cervical cancer affecting millions of women. Rajasthan wasted no time, conducting 188 sessions and mobilizing 1,000 health centers on day one.

Eligible girls aged 14—those who’ve completed the year but not turned 15—receive one 0.5 ml dose of Gardasil-4 intramuscularly in their left arm. This precise targeting promises to slash cervical cancer risks, the second-leading cancer killer for women in India.

CM Bhajan Lal Sharma called on parents: ‘Bring your daughters forward for this vital protection.’ Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar outlined the Health Ministry’s guidelines, stressing the state’s comprehensive rollout plan.

With 8.32 lakh girls eligible, infrastructure is top-notch. Facilities boast active cold chains, on-site doctors, and connectivity, as per NHM Mission Director Dr. Amit Yadav. Dedicated squads—including ANMs, ASHAs, verifiers, and outreach teams—stand ready after rigorous training.

This isn’t just vaccination; it’s building a robust shield for future generations. Rajasthan’s health department positions the campaign as transformative, empowering girls and redefining public health prevention.

During a fiery exchange in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Friday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma defended his administration’s fiscal strategy, revealing a budget for 2026-27 that dwarfs the previous government’s by 41%. Presented amid discussions on the Finance and Appropriation Bill, the figures highlight a thriving economy driven by pro-people policies and structural reforms.

‘Our focus is on solutions and growth, not clashes,’ Sharma declared, crediting PM Modi’s vision for steering Rajasthan toward becoming a developed state by 2047. The state is evolving into a vital engine for Viksit Bharat.

Key forecasts include per capita income soaring to Rs 2,02,349 by 2026-27, a 21.15% rise from 2023-24 levels. Sectors like industry, farming, and services are all firing on cylinders.

At Rs 6,10,956 crore, the new budget outpaces its predecessor significantly. GSDP projections hit Rs 21,52,100 crore, boasting over 41% growth. While the Congress-led government added Rs 6,10,544 crore to GSDP in five years, BJP’s two-year tenure eyes Rs 6.3 lakh crore-plus.

Growth rates tell the tale: from 10.92% average under Congress to 12.25% now, and constant price growth from 5.3% to 8.7%. Revenue is slated to reach Rs 3,25,740 crore, a 14.08% yearly increase and 60% above the last Congress year.

Sharma’s address not only countered critics but also outlined a roadmap for inclusive prosperity, reinforcing BJP’s commitment to rapid development in Rajasthan.

Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal dropped a major update on Sunday: Rajasthan is set to become India’s trailblazer by integrating cyber courts with its existing cyber police stations. The announcement came during his address at a high-profile three-day conference hosted by the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority in Jaipur.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s presence underscored the state’s commitment to this innovative step. Meghwal, donning a traditional turban for the occasion, engaged with journalists post-event, calling the conference a resounding success in fostering dialogue on cyber safety.

From dissecting the spectrum of cybercrimes to brainstorming awareness drives and preventive tactics, the sessions covered it all. Meghwal noted the pervasive issue of misinformation leading to frauds, drawing parallels with ongoing awareness efforts in Delhi. ‘Awakening the public is our foremost duty,’ he asserted, aiming to fortify defenses against digital deception.

The cyber courts will expedite case disposals, offering relief to victims who often face prolonged legal battles. This synergy between enforcement and adjudication is expected to revolutionize cybercrime handling in the state. Participants, including legal experts and officials, shared invaluable perspectives, empowering attendees with knowledge to navigate the digital landscape safely.

Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot unleashed a blistering critique of the BJP’s ‘Parchi government,’ claiming public safety has hit rock bottom since they assumed power. The trigger was the chilling rape and murder of a minor girl in Bikaner’s Ranjitpura area, who was heading to her Class 8 exam when the heinous act occurred.

Posting on X, Gehlot painted a grim picture: ‘This bone-chilling incident has shamed humanity and left an indelible black mark on Rajasthan.’ He pointed out the pervasive fear gripping families, with daughters hesitant to venture outside. ‘What fire of crime has Rajasthan been thrown into?’ he asked, directly challenging CM Bhajan Lal Sharma to ditch superficial gestures and fix the law and order mess.

Gehlot’s demands were unequivocal—arrest the guilty without delay, expedite the trial in a fast-track court, and deliver exemplary punishment. Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra joined the chorus, labeling the episode as gut-wrenching and a colossal failure of the BJP’s women safety promises. Protests have erupted locally, reflecting the seething discontent.

Under the current administration, incidents of violence against women have reportedly spiked, eroding public trust. Dotasra warned that schoolgirls live in dread, urging the ‘sleeping’ government to act decisively. As opposition voices amplify, this case could become a flashpoint in Rajasthan’s polarized political landscape.

The narrative of deteriorating security paints a stark contrast to the BJP’s pre-election vows. With Gehlot’s ventilator metaphor resonating widely, pressure mounts on Sharma’s team to deliver tangible reforms or face escalating backlash.
