Bike ambulance running as a life in remote Vananchal Narayanpur, 666 beneficiaries benefited
A large part of Naxal-affected Narayanpur district has not been able to connect to the main road even today due to the uneven geographical conditions. Abujhmad is the region where Vananchal and the river-drain are numerous. This is the reason that people have to struggle a lot for basic services of government as well as health services. The bike ambulance was used keeping in mind the easy availability of health services. Initially in the district, the first two bike ambulances were run in small river-drains, trails, bumpy paths of inner ellipses, which succeeded. Seeing its success, the motor bike ambulance has been expanded to further improve health services in the district. This year, 4 new motor bike ambulances have been given to the Health Department from the Mineral Trust Fund. This will facilitate transportation of patients from the inner region to health centers.
The Baik Ambulance is proving to be a boon for children and pregnant women living in remote and inaccessible Vananchal in the Madia dominated Orchha development block. Childbirth is a difficult time for pregnant women and it can become a period of life and death. In the districts of inner Elakay, where the ambulance could not be reached or the road is not available, the women of those places can be rescued from the problem during childbirth, for this the bike ambulance is being resorted in the district. This is nothing less than a boon for women in childbirth.
Explain that so far 666 patients have got direct benefit of this facility due to the services of bike ambulance. Pregnant women of Vananchal area are brought to the health center for institutional delivery through a bike ambulance and infant mothers are also taken to a safe home after delivery. Along with this, a bike ambulance is also used for regular health testing of pregnant mothers, vaccination of children and treatment of seasonal diseases. Infant and maternal mortality have also decreased with the arrival of a bike ambulance. -

PM Modi Needs One More Farm Law To End Crisis
Farmers’ protests are threatening to snowball into the biggest political crisis of Narendra Modi’s tenure.
To give in to demands and scrap the laws would be an uncharacteristic admission of defeat for India’s strongman prime minister, who promised they would transform agriculture. But letting the unrest linger could cause chaos in food markets, alienate urban consumers, and potentially derail the post-Covid recovery.
Nobody doubts that for India to have a shot at exiting its lower-middle-income trap, farming must come out of its sub-3% growth rut. Productivity of labor, land, fertilizer and water have to improve. Massive private investments need to take place in storage and processing for the country’s 2% share of global agricultural exports to increase.
The dispute is over which strategy to pursue. Markets or organizations? That’s an old dilemma, made famous by economist Ronald Coase in 1937. Modi is leaning toward markets, promising to turn the entire country into a free trade area benefiting 119 million farmers and 144 million farmhands, plus their families. A large and growing number view this move as an end to institutional state support, which they fear will allow profiteering corporations to rush into the resulting vacuum. Tens of thousands of farmers have been camping near entry points to New Delhi since Nov. 26.

The government gave pattas of forest land and also gave facility to sell paddy
Devsay, a farmer from village Kandadi, selling paddy for the first time on support price, is very happy. He said that the government of Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given me a lease of forest land, took the paddy crop and registered it with the Koylibeda Cooperative Society to sell it. Before I got the lease of the forest land, I used to sell my paddy to the coaches for a quarter of a price, which I had to bear loss. Due to the lease of forest land by the government, I was registered in the committee to sell paddy and on the very next day after the paddy purchase started, I sold my 145 sacks of paddy at the rate of Rs 25 hundred per quintal for Rs 01 lakh 45 thousand. I thank the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s government for this arrangement. His government has benefited me by purchasing my paddy at a support price. It is noteworthy that Devasay father Baisakhu, a farmer of village ‘Kandadi’ in the heavily Naxalite affected Koylibeda development block, has been given a forest lease of 10 acres in Orange-19 on the banks of river Meerki (Forest Authority recognition letter), in which they are farming with their families. Farmer Devasay told that out of the 10 acres of land obtained from the Forest Rights Recognition Card, he had harvested paddy crop on 04 acres, maize on 03 acres and urad, kulthi etc. in 03 acres, presently in about 02 acres of land. Maize crop has been taken.
It is worth mentioning that 174 forest patta farmers have been registered in the Koylibeda Cooperative Society, who will get a chance to sell paddy at the support price. These farmers, who had been in the forest land for years, were deprived of selling paddy at the support price and they had to sell their hard-earned paddy to the Kochis at a flat price, but now it will not happen. This year 1274 farmers of 41 villages of 14 gram panchayats have been registered in the Koylibeda Cooperative Society and they have also been provided with fertilizer, seeds and cash for farming. The registration farmers also include 174 forest lease holders. Of these patta farmers, 134 farmers have been provided fertilizer, seeds and cash by the cooperative society at zero percent interest rate.
