Apple Rolls Out Redesigned iCloud App For Windows |
New Delhi: Apple has rolled out a redesigned iCloud app for Windows to offer new features and improvements to enhance the user experience. Available for Windows 10 and 11, the new app includes a new onboarding and setup experience, displays an informative syncing status that shows the progress of uploading and downloading content from iCloud, and provides shortcuts to open iCloud content on a PC.

Moreover, the tech giant mentioned that iTunes for Windows is now four different apps, with standalone experiences for Apple Music and Apple TV out of preview. The Apple Music app now features an updated UI, lossless playback, time-synced lyrics, and 4K Music Videos, ensuring that users get everything they expect, including their library and AirPlay.
With the new Apple TV app for Windows, users will be able to access all the same original Apple TV+ programming, along with their library and purchased or rented video content. There’s also 4K playback and Subscription channels on Windows for the first time, along with being able to watch MLS Season Pass, the company said.

Apple Releases iOS 17.4 Beta 2 Update For Developers; iPhone Users May Get These Features Soon |
New Delhi: The tech giant Apple has released the beta 2 update for its upcoming iOS 17.4, iPadOS 17.4, watchOS 10.4, macOS 14.4, and tvOS 17.4 to developers for testing purposes. Moreover, the Cupertino-based company has also seeded the first-ever visionOS 1.1 beta update to developers for the first time.
Meanwhile, the widespread release of the stable update is expected in March for all users. The purpose of the iOS 17.4 upgrade is aimed at helping Apple’s compliance with the Digital Markets Act across 27 European Union nations.
Features of iOS 17.4 beta 2 Update
-Apple is set to introduce Notarization for iOS apps. It will aim to prevent malware, fraud, scams, and harmful content. The new feature is a Baseline review for all apps.
-This feature allows developers will also be able to ask Apple for additional hardware and software features.

New Delhi: The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that Apple, the tech giant, plans to add new fees and restrictions for third-party software downloads outside its App Store. This development follows the enforcement of the Digital Markets Act (DMA) by the European Union, aimed at targeting the market clout of big technology companies and making it easier for people to move between competing services.

In a move specific to Europe, Apple’s proposal allows users to download software onto their iPhones directly, bypassing the App Store for the first time.
