Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is leaving no stone unturned to make Holi celebrations safe and sanitary in rural heartlands. A special three-day drive from March 2-4 targets every gram panchayat, focusing on sanitation and disease prevention amid the vibrant festival preparations.

CM Yogi has made it clear: festival-time cleanliness cannot afford any shortcuts. With mosquitoes thriving in rural settings, robust measures against vector-borne illnesses are mandatory. DMs and CDOs will oversee daily progress, ensuring accountability at every level.

The agenda is ambitious—spotless festival grounds, Holika pyre areas, riverbanks, ponds, Amrit Sarovars, and bathing ghats. Fogging machines will roar, anti-larva treatments will be widespread, and waste management will follow eco-friendly protocols. Pre- and post-Holi phases will keep villages pristine.

Water stagnation hotspots will get permanent fixes to fend off malaria, dengue, and infections. Panchayats must renovate ghats with fresh paint and safety barriers. This orchestrated effort, under constant scrutiny, promises a healthier Holi for UP’s rural populace, blending tradition with modern hygiene standards.
