    Culture & Planning, Economic & Statistics Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat reviewed the departmental work at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan) here today. During the review of the Culture Department, Minister Shri Bhagat said that the richer the art, culture, historical and archaeological heritage of the state, the more its importance will increase. He said that the conservation of the protected historical and archaeological heritage of the state should be ensured. Renovation of heritage sites lying in dilapidated condition. Minister Shri Bhagat said in the meeting that as per the wishes of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, an action plan should be prepared and implemented at the earliest for the establishment of Manav Sangrahalaya, Bharat Bhawan, Archives, Film City and Cultural Village in Nava Raipur. Along with the establishment of a cultural village at the state level, a cultural village should be established by marking the site at the regional level.

Officials said that the work of digitization is being done by collecting the records related to Chhattisgarh. At present, a target has been set to digitize two to 2.5 lakh records. An order has been placed for one lakh records. Digitization will help research students, researchers, readers to study. Officials said that a roadmap has been prepared for making policy of Chhattisgarh Film Policy. After approval in the Council of Ministers, it will be implemented soon. Officials said that an action plan has been prepared after identifying the site for Manav Sangrahalaya, Bharat Bhawan, Archives and Cultural Village. Soon the work will be started in coordination with the officials of NRDA.

    Minister Shri Bhagat told in the meeting that the dance institute related to the art, culture and traditions of Chhattisgarh is operating in America. Programs based on folk culture are organized by this institute on the occasion of the establishment of the state. The Chief Minister has also been invited by the office bearers of the Dance Institute of America. Action plans should also be made to encourage such artists and culture lovers. Minister Shri Bhagat also reviewed the Department of Planning, Economics and Statistics. Minister Shri Bhagat instructed the officers to prepare indicators for the Sustainable Development Goal. He inquired about the formation of the Treasury Task Force. Emphasis on organizing national workshop to prepare indicators for better implementation of schemes. He also directed to coordinate with the universities to promote innovation. Minister Shri Bhagat said that indicators should also be prepared for better monitoring and implementation of flexship schemes of some departments. Ration is being distributed to the people through the Public Distribution System. Food is being provided to school children through mid-day meal. In Anganwadi centers ready-to-it is being given to the newborns. This has greatly improved the malnutrition situation in the state.     Food Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat reviewed the working of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan) today. He did a district-wise review of the storage and distribution of food grains in the government fair price shops of the state. Shri Bhagat has asked to ensure adequate storage for distribution of rice, jaggery, sugar and gram. Instructions have been given to the officers for systematic operation of government fair price shops, drinking water system in ration shops, painting and putting up rate list, as well as to keep constant inspection of PDS.

The Food Minister has given instructions for proper security of the paddy left uncollected in the paddy collection centers and procurement centers. He has given instructions to the officers to work cautiously so that there is no paddy shortage anywhere. If there is a complaint of paddy shortage anywhere, action will be taken against the concerned officials. The Food Minister has instructed the officers to take necessary action by continuous monitoring and correspondence for the purchase of rice by the Food Corporation of India under the Central Pool. Instructions have been given to the officers to distribute food grains every month to the beneficiaries of PDS as per their eligibility. It was informed in the meeting that out of 92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy purchased in the state this year, about 54 lakh metric tonnes by millers, 20 lakh metric tonnes by collection centers, more than 9 lakh weeders and more than 8 lakh 10 thousand metric tonnes of paddy The lifting has been done by the Food and Civil Supplies Corporation.
