The ongoing conflict between Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh “Raja Bhaiya” and his wife, Bhanvi Singh, has seen Raja Bhaiya’s sons, Shivraj Singh and Brijraj Singh, become his defense. While MLC Akshay Pratap Singh “Gopal Ji” has been managing the situation, the sons have now stepped forward to defend their father.

On the social media platform X, the son has made an extensive post in defense of Raja Bhaiya. Although both sons had remained silent on the matter until now, Bhanvi Singh had posted a picture of Raja Bhaiya with an unnamed woman, an audio clip of a shooting incident between them, and pictures of a weapons cache on X. She also filed a complaint with the Prime Minister’s Office, prompting the sons to release their statements. Posting on X, the son claimed that he had stayed away from the issue until now but was now compelled to speak out. Shivraj stated in the post, “I am posting about this on social media for the first time and would like for it to be the last time I write on this subject.”

He added that making fake posts to tarnish someone’s reputation is not an act of bravery. He said, “Our parents (Mamma and Dau) have been living separately for about 10 years. Before that, at the behest of the elders of the family, for the sake of us children, Dau had agreed to live with Mamma under one roof, but the relationship was not normal. Later, Mamma left the house without informing Dau and went to live in a house in Delhi.”

On August 29, Jyoti shared a photo with the actor on Instagram, showing him applying vermilion (sindoor) on her forehead. Accompanying the photo was a lengthy caption. Jyoti wrote, “Respected husband Shri Pawan Singh Ji, for many months, I have been trying to talk to you about some family and political issues. However, you or the people around you have perhaps not considered it appropriate to reply to my calls or messages.”

She continued, “I went to Lucknow to meet you, and I also thought it appropriate to meet you during Chhath when you came to Dehri. But you refused to meet me, saying that the boss was asking to meet in Lucknow.” Addressing her father, Jyoti said that her father had also gone to meet him two months ago, but no positive result was received. She questioned, “What major sin have I committed that I am being given such a big punishment?”

Further, Jyoti alleged that her parents’ honor was being played with. She stated that if she wasn’t worthy of him, he should have distanced himself from her, as he had done before. She accused him of giving her false assurances and bringing her along in his Lok Sabha elections, placing her in a situation where she sees no option but self-immolation. However, she cannot do so because she knows that if she were to self-immolate, the questions would be raised against her and her parents.

Jyoti further wrote that she had fulfilled her duty as a devoted wife, walking step by step with him. She requested him to understand her situation. She urged him to stand by her out of humanity if he doesn’t consider her his wife. She pointed out that he has forgiven many of his opponents even after they made big mistakes.

She expressed that she feels bad when he embraces people who come to him after saying a lot of things. She has been struggling for seven years, and now she is starting to hate her own life. She requested him to talk to her, reply to her calls, and messages, and to understand her pain.

Speaking to the media, Rini described receiving inappropriate messages from the politician, including an invitation to a specific location. When she confronted him, he allegedly dismissed her concerns. Rini mentioned the individual is often seen in channel discussions and at protest venues. Detailing the nature of the messages, Rini recounted one instance where the politician suggested booking a room in a five-star hotel. She reacted strongly to this, and the messages stopped for a period, but later resumed. She explained that her decision to speak out was prompted by her awareness of similar experiences among other women.

She also revealed that the reason she didn’t file a formal complaint was due to the potential danger it could pose to her safety. She urged women to make informed choices when electing public representatives.

Kumar clarified that the commission would not take action based on flawed analyses of a PPT. He said that without evidence, a valid voter’s name would not be removed. He questioned why an investigation wasn’t initiated. Kumar responded to this by saying that 150,000 notices without any evidence or affidavit were issued. The Chief Election Commissioner stated, “We stand like a rock with the voters…” He reiterated that an affidavit or an apology to the country is required, or the allegations will be considered baseless. He also pointed out that the commission has been working diligently for 75 years, and if allegations of wrongdoing are made, they would naturally seek evidence, which they haven’t received. He emphasized that no valid voter’s name would be removed without proof and that they stand firm on this. Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s claims of match-fixing in Maharashtra, Kumar said that irregularities were alleged in the Maharashtra voter list. He questioned why claims and objections weren’t filed when the draft list was available. Kumar responded that the election commission received no names of voters with supporting evidence. He added that the elections happened eight months ago. The commission had responded to questions about the voting process, indicating that with 10 hours of voting, the average voting percentage per hour is 10%.

Gandhi has previously accused the EC and the BJP of match-fixing during the Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra assembly elections. With the recent announcement of ‘SIR’ in Bihar, the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi intensified their attacks on the EC. Opposition parties, including 300 MPs, marched from the streets to the Parliament against SIR. Gandhi specifically highlighted alleged irregularities in the Mahadevpura Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka, where he claimed nearly one lakh votes were stolen.

Gandhi alleged that there were over one lakh suspicious entries in Bengaluru Central’s Mahadevpura, including duplicate voters, invalid addresses, and multiple registrations at the same location. He cited instances where voters allegedly cast their votes twice, claims the EC has dismissed. He also claimed that CCTV footage from polling stations had been deleted and pointed to cases where dozens of voters were registered at the same address.
