    By PTI
MUMBAI: All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of Maharashtra H K Patil has held discussions with senior state party leaders over a possible replacement for state Congress chief Balasaheb Thorat, in keeping with the its ‘one person-one post’ formula.

Thorat is currently the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president as well the revenue minister in the state’s Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government.

He is also the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader.

Patil, who is on a two-day visit to Mumbai, held discussions with senior Maharashtra Congress leader and former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Tuesday night at Sahaydri guest house here and later with Thorat over revamping of the state party unit.

Besides, state PWD Minister Ashok Chavan met Patil on Wednesday morning.

Congress sources said discussions pertained to the present situation of the party and measures to be taken for its revival.

“It looks like the ‘one man-one post’ formula will be implemented.

Thorat had the option of continuing as state president or minister in the MVA government,” a source said.

“But, he (Thorat) has expressed his desire to give up the organisational post,” the source said.

The front-runners to replace Thorat include AICC general secretary for Gujarat Rajiv Satav, and Maharashtra ministers Amit Deshmukh, Yashomati Thakur, Vijay Wadettiwar and Vishwajeet Kadam.

Satav, who is considered close to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, is currently the Rajya Sabha member from Maharashtra.

Patil will also meet other senior state party leaders and MLAs during his ongoing Mumbai visit.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Kharagye said this while addressing a rally organized in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra to start the second phase of the Jan Sangharsh Yatra. Khadghe said, ‘We (the Congress) sacrificed our lives for the country. Indira Gandhi sacrificed for the unity of the country – the integrity of the country. Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed his life for the country. Tell me, is there a dog in the house of BJP and union leaders for the country’s independence? ”

Kharge said, “Tell us (for the country’s independence) of your people who have gone to jail?” In February last year, Modi had condemned Congress leader Kharagale in the Lok Sabha for similar remarks. Kharange said in the lower house, ‘Gandhiji, Indiraji sacrificed his life for the unity of the country. Who did you do? There was also no dog. “Modi later said during his speech in the Lok Sabha that the Congress had never said about the contribution of freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh and Chandra Shekhar Azad. They only think that the same family gave us freedom. “The Congress leaders are traveling to Maharashtra under the tour. So far, 150 assembly seats have been conducted in three months. It is being described as the largest public relations campaign of the party in the state.

It is necessary to remember that the Communists also called Subhash Bose a dog of Japanese PM Tojo. (Netaji Subhash Gadha and Japanese PM Tojo on his back, Communist Party People’s War, 19 July 1942)

Pandit Nehru also got a full-fledged national self-service union. There is a lot of criticism. At this point of time, the union was banned on their instructions, but later this ban was canceled by Vallabh Bhai Patel.

The manner in which the Communist Party’s Survey-All-Enhancement, which was also the teacher of Rahul Gandhi’s cipher Rahul Gandhi’s Kanhaiya Kumar, later accepted the Communist Party’s mistake.

Congress has done enough to exploit Mahatma Gandhi and his name and surname. Mahatma Gandhi knew that the people of entire India were contributing in the fight for freedom, but forgetting this, the Congress leaders later insulted the people who fought for the independence of India by expressing their contribution to this contribution.

For this reason Mahatma Gandhi wanted that the Congress be dissolved after 1947.

Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha ridiculed the members of the Congress on April 2, 2013, and said that they are not aware of the history of Mahatma Gandhi and his party’s history to dissolve the Congress. Jayalalitha gave documentary evidence for this.
