It is used for detection of all types of Cancer, Research purpose, to study molecular study of virus. Detection of second stream of Corona would be possible with the help of the machine. It will help the doctors in studying behavioral change of virus on different persons. Dr Nagarkar further informed that NGS has rapidly become the state of the art for high-throughput genomic analyses. The robust technology provides access to numerous applications ranging from genomic sequencing, re-sequencing, whole-transcriptome analysis, small RNA, miRNA, non-coding RNA, targeted sequencing, Chip-seq and ATAC-seq. Ribonucleic acid (RNA) is an important biological macromolecule that is present in all biological cells. Using a massively parallel sequencing approach, NGS is capable of generating gigabases of high quality sequence, maximizing throughput while minimizing the cost and time to generate this data. The cost of machine is about Rs 1.25 Crores.Dr Nagarkar informed that as per schedule the machine has arrived and has been started on trial face. VRD lab of AIIMS was
