At the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, industry stalwarts on Wednesday painted a bright future for artificial intelligence in India. The third day buzzed with insights on how AI could supercharge the economy, creating waves of opportunities across sectors.

In an exclusive interview, DDN’s Senior Director for International Marketing, Premchand Akela, lauded India’s proactive stance. He described the country as ‘truly great’ and predicted AI would deliver ‘large-scale opportunities’ for economic growth. Akela commended the synergy between government initiatives and public involvement in AI advancement.

Shifting to defense, Major General Sujit Shivaji Patil detailed AI’s strategic edge. He explained its influence on ISR operations, system fortifications, and offensive capabilities against adversaries. ‘This will equip us to secure victories,’ Patil affirmed.

Boston Consulting Group’s Priyanka Agarwal spotlighted healthcare and pharma revolutions. ‘This summit will elevate India globally,’ she said. AI promises cost-effective healthcare solutions, expanding reach to underserved populations. On employment, Agarwal was pragmatic: some roles may shift, but new jobs and heightened productivity will dominate.

Cyble’s Beenu Arora hailed the event as a historic milestone. Amid global shifts, he said, ‘Countries investing in AI will lead prosperity. India is at that decisive juncture.’

EC-Council’s Jay Bavisi celebrated India’s talent reservoir—LLM specialists, tech wizards, and bilingual workforce. The summit, he noted, will spark nationwide AI dialogues. However, he cautioned that improper deployment could yield dire outcomes; precise application is key to productivity gains.

These voices converge on a powerful narrative: AI as India’s economic catalyst. With balanced strategies, the nation is poised for unprecedented leaps.

The arrival of top dignitaries from Europe signals a new chapter in international AI collaboration, with Sweden’s Ebba Busch, Finland’s Petteri Orpo, and the UK’s David Lammy now in New Delhi for the AI Impact Summit 2026. Kicking off in the heart of India’s political capital, this five-day extravaganza is drawing the world’s attention to AI’s revolutionary power and the need for ethical governance.

Lammy set the pace by arriving late Tuesday, followed by Orpo and Busch on Wednesday morning. India’s Foreign Ministry rolled out the red carpet, with Jayant Singh personally receiving the Finnish PM. These visits are more than ceremonial; they symbolize robust bilateral momentum. India-Sweden ties shine in business, innovation, and green initiatives, while India-Finland bonds are gearing up for boosts in digital realms and education. The UK partnership, already comprehensive, eyes AI as a cornerstone for inclusive growth.

Organizers emphasize the summit’s alignment with universal values: benefiting all humanity through responsible AI. With 110+ nations, dozens of global bodies, 20 heads of state, and 45 ministers in attendance, the scale is unprecedented. This edition builds on prior successes in the UK, Korea, and France, cementing a legacy of forward-thinking dialogues.

Throughout the summit, panels and keynotes will tackle AI’s risks and rewards, from economic disruption to sustainable development. As leaders convene, Delhi isn’t just hosting an event—it’s positioning India as a global AI vanguard, fostering dialogues that could redefine international tech policy for decades.
