Sunny Deol will be reprising his role as Major Kuldeep Singh in this film. Joining him are Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty in leading roles. The filming is nearly complete. According to reports, the makers are planning to release the announcement teaser on August 15, 2025.

The ‘Border 2’ team will share the teaser with a one-minute announcement video. Anurag Singh has prepared a one-minute announcement video with Sunny Deol, depicting the India-Pakistan war and the essence of ‘Border 2’. Along with the teaser, the makers may also officially announce the release date for Republic Day 2026.

‘Border 2’s Announcement Teaser
The announcement teaser for Sunny Deol’s multi-starrer ‘Border 2’ will be released on August 15, 2025. It’s claimed the announcement teaser will have a digital launch on August 15 and the KDM of the teaser will also be presented in all multiplex series for the Independence Day weekend along with ‘War 2’. The makers have made a back-end deal with the National Multiplex Series to present the teaser of ‘Border 2’ along with ‘War 2’, and all parties have agreed on this.

India’s Biggest War Film
The KDM of ‘Border 2’ will also be sent to single screens across the country. Produced by JP Dutta, Bhushan Kumar, and Nidhi Dutta, ‘Border 2’ is being touted as the biggest war film in Indian cinema. The film is based on the backdrop of the 1971 India-Pakistan war and begins where ‘Border’ (1997) ends. For ‘Border 2’, the producers are recreating the popular song “Sandese Aate Hai” with singers Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh.
