Under the Kovid 19 Vaccination Mahabhiyan in Chhattisgarh, a total of 56 lakh 99 thousand dose vaccine has been given to the citizens of different age groups till now. So far, 88 percent health workers have been given first dose and 62 percent health workers have been given second dose. Similarly, 100 percent of the front-line workers have been given the first dose and 59 percent of the front-line workers have been given the second dose of vaccine. With this, the first dose has been given to 73 percent of citizens above 45 years of age and the second dose to 6 percent of citizens of this age group. So far, 21 thousand 747 people have been given the first dose in the age group of 18 to 44 years. It is noteworthy that the state of Chhattisgarh ranks fourth in the entire country in giving the first dose of Kovid 19 vaccine to the age group above 45 years. In the whole country, only Ladakh, Sikkim and Tripura are ahead of Chhattisgarh. Similarly, in the age group of 60 years and above, Chhattisgarh is fifth in the country after Ladakh, Rajasthan, Sikkim and Tripura. Currently, an average of 2.13 lakh persons are being vaccinated daily in the state. Maximum of 3.26 lakh persons were vaccinated on 2 April 2021 and 2.92 lakh persons were vaccinated on 3 April 2021.
