32 thousand 590 farmers have registered for paddy sale in the district. Except Saturday, Sunday and other holidays in the month of January, only 19 days are left for procurement. So far 16429 farmers have sold paddy. There are still 16 thousand 161 farmers paddy left for sale. So far, 6.27 lakh paddy has been purchased. Due to shortage of barley and sluggish offtake, there is no time for procurement, so there will be problem in purchasing the entire paddy from the remaining registered farmers in limited days.
The target of paddy kharri has been fixed at 12.50 quintals, but for the remaining farmers purchased and sold so far, there is a possibility of more arrival in the procurement centers than the target. If we consider the cost of total paddy purchased, till now one billion 17 crore 18 lakh 15 thousand 494 rupees paddy has been purchased. The farmers are not getting paid on time.
This time payment is being made from the Divisional Cooperative Bank. It is taking a fortnight instead of a week to get the amount. The collection of bar donations for purchase has stopped. Earnings are likely to stop if there is no supply at the centers in time. In the same way, the amount of paddy that is happening in the inward centers is not being lifted. 2.52 lakh quintals are still up for lifting in the procurement centers.
