Chhattisgarh is the first state in the country where online chess competition is being organized.
Today this competition was inaugurated by virtual medium by Bharat Singh Chauhan, Secretary of All India Chess Federation, General Secretary of Chhattisgarh State Olympic Association and Patron of Chess Association Gurcharan Singh Hora and President of Chhass Chess Adhoc Committee Raghavendra Singh Singhania. This competition which started from today 4th June will continue till 13th June. In which 202 participants from 16 districts of the state have registered. Participants from Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Surguja, Mahasamund, Raigad, Korba, Bastar, Balod, Surajpur, Korea, Mungeli, Dhamtari, Kawardha, Bemetara have been divided into five age groups. In which the participants of Under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 will participate.
Chess will reach the highest peak
Regarding this online chess competition being played in the state, Raghavendra Singh Singhania, President of Chhass Chess Adhoc Committee, said that Chess will achieve high peak under the guidance of All India Chess Federation Secretary Bharat Singh Chauhan and General Secretary of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Gurcharan Singh Hora. .
Big event again on the lines of Chief Minister’s Trophy
On this occasion, Chhattisgarh Olympic Association General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora, while inaugurating the program virtual, said that I have been a chess player. I have been involved in chess since childhood. Presently the Chess Adhoc Committee is in the hands of energetic people. I discussed with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel regarding today’s event. He has also expressed happiness about this event. He assured the chess players that the Chief Minister would organize a big event again on the lines of the trophy.
