Weather Update: Heat breaks 20-year record in MP, temperature close to half-century; IMD issues red alert!

Manisha Tripathi, Bhopal. MP weather Update: The period of record breaking heat (MP Heat Wave) continues in Madhya Pradesh. Today is the fourth day of Nautapa (Nautapa 2024). Its effect has started showing. The temperature of the state has reached close to half a century. Due to rising temperatures, MP is burning like a furnace. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 48.7℃ in Bhind and Niwari. While 47.4 degree Celsius was recorded in Datia.

It is being told that on Monday the temperature in the state broke the record of the season. This is the second time in the 20-year history of the state that such a high temperature has been recorded. The Meteorological Department (India Meteorological Department) has issued a red alert (Heat Wave Red Alert) for many districts today.

The maximum temperature in Prithvipur of Niwari and Bhind district reached 48.7 degrees on Monday, which has happened for the second time in 20 years in the history of MP. Earlier, on May 13, 2022 and May 14, 2022, the temperature in Bhind was recorded at 48.7 degrees.

On Monday, Datia was the second hottest district. The temperature here was recorded at 47.4 degrees Celsius. While Khajuraho recorded 47.2, Guna 47.2, Damoh 47, Shivpuri 46 and Bhopal 45 degrees Celsius.

Heat wave red alert here

The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for intense heat wave in Rajgarh, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur Kalan, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari districts. While there is a red alert for heat wave in Shajapur.

Yellow alert for heatwave

Weather Update: A yellow alert has been issued for heat wave in Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Khandwa, Khargone, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Dewas, Agar Malwa, Damoh and the capital Bhopal.

Possibility of rain in these districts Weather Update

According to IMD, heat wave conditions have been predicted in Burhanpur, Barwani, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Panna, Maihar. The weather department has predicted thunderstorms and rains in Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Pandhurna districts.
