Naiduniya, Naurozabad Umaria (Umaria News). Due to continuous rain, Johila Dam built by Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station located at Birsinghpur Pali got filled with water. Due to this, all the 6 gates of Johila Dam had to be opened. Due to opening of the gates, the river swelled and the road to Dindori got closed. Many bridges of Umaria district have been submerged in water and the water level of Son River has also increased considerably. Johila River merges with Son River in Manpur district area.
Continuous rain on the mountain
It is said that due to continuous rain on the mountains of Amarkantak, Johila river has overflown. Due to the overflowing of Johila river, Johila dam was completely filled and as a result all its gates had to be opened. Due to the opening of the gates of Johila dam, people from nearby areas have started arriving here to see the water.
It is difficult to handle people
As soon as people came to know that all the 6 gates of Johila Dam have been opened, people from not only Birsinghpur, Pali, Naurozabad and nearby villages started arriving here to see this sight, but people also reached here from Shahdol and other places. Such a huge crowd of people gathered here that it became difficult for the police to handle them. However, after some time the police sent the people back from there and the barrier was closed.
Instructions to close this route till repair
Didauri SDM Rambabu Devangan and Naurozabad Tehsildar Abhayanand Sharma of Umaria district inspected this road and have given instructions to close this road till its repair. This is a very important road connecting both the districts, a part of which passing through the top of the hill has collapsed. Due to this, one side of the road has completely collapsed. If vehicles pass through the remaining part, then there is a danger of that part also collapsing.

The road between Changara and Batondha on the Naurozabad to Dindori main road in Umaria district has been completely damaged. This is not a recent situation but the road has been in bad shape for a long time. Several attempts were made to draw the attention of the administration of both the districts in this direction but the matter was never taken seriously, as a result the road has now completely collapsed in the middle. Due to the bad condition of the road, small and big vehicles passing through here had to face a lot of trouble.

It is worth noting that passengers travel to Jabalpur, Dindori, Mandla districts through this route. Due to heavy rains, soil erosion was taking place at many places on the route from Changara to Batondha. The condition is still the same at many other places on this route. This entire route needs to be repaired properly.
When Naurozabad Tehsildar Abhayanand Sharma received information about excessive soil erosion on the road between Changara and Batondha, he inspected the damaged road and closed traffic from both sides. Didori SDM has also inspected and given instructions to close the road.
