Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. Lokayukta’s action against corrupt officers and employees continues in Madhya Pradesh. In this series, the Lokayukta police team has caught Sub Inspector Santosh Dangi, posted at Chhola police station, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.

Trap action was taken under the direction of the Superintendent of Police in which the applicant Hemant Kumar Arya, father Sukhlal Arya, resident of Geeta Nagar, Vidisha Road, Bhanpur, Bhopal, had complained on February 8 that the kiosk was operated by him. Which has been discontinued in June 2023. A person named Jagdish Sharma lodged a complaint against the applicant at Chhola police station, on which Assistant Sub Inspector (Sub Inspector) Santosh Singh of Chhola police station called him and showed him the receipt. On which there was no seal and signature of the applicant. A demand of ₹ 50 thousand was made by Santosh Dangi, assistant sub-inspector of the police station. Today, on February 10, 2024, Assistant Sub Inspector (Sub Inspector) Santosh Dangi police station Chhola has been caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. Trap action has been taken against him by registering a crime under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
