Lokayukta’s action against bribe takers continues, assistant director of fisheries department arrested for taking Rs 5,000 bribe

Sameer Shaikh, Barwani. The old year is over, the new year 2025 has started from today, but the cases of bribery and bribery in Madhya Pradesh are not showing any sign of ending. The latest case has come to light from Barwani district. Where today, on the very first day of the year, the Lokayukta took major action and caught a bribe taking employee taking a bribe of Rs 5000. According to the information, Assistant Director of Fisheries Department, Narayan Prasad Rakwar has been arrested red handed by the Lokayukta Police while taking this money. According to the information, Rakwar had demanded a bribe to submit the reply to the High Court stay case in a case of a cooperative society.

According to the information, complainant Mahesh Dilwaren, father Fakkan Dilwaren (43), resident of Rajpur district Barwani, has done fish farming through a committee by taking on lease 85.780 hectares of irrigation reservoir water area under village Jalgon of Rajpur district. Through this, the lease of the pond was taken for 10 years in the year 2013. After which an application was submitted to renew the lease. Which was canceled by the Collector District Barwani due to being erroneous. After which the release was again issued by District Panchayat Rajpur. On which a stay order was taken from Indore High Court bench by Badha, president of tribal flood affected Machhya group Jalgon.

In lieu of submitting the reply to the stay order by 55 year old accused Narayan Prasad Raikwar, Assistant Director, Fisheries, the accused was demanding bribe from the applicant. Complainant had complained about this to Lokayukta Indore. After finding the information correct, today on January 1, the team trapped the accused red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 5,000. Action is underway against the accused under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Amendment Act 2018.
